Yes!! Great Classic Traditional Xing Yi! "Get The Basics" Learn Xing Yi 1st and Bagua 2nd. It's hard to find anyone interested these styles. Any serious MMA extternial fighter would benift learning these skills.

Why should I learn xing yi 1st and baguazhang 2nd? Can you tell me? I'm more interested in baguazhang
@iflotaichi2 жыл бұрын
@@ikrammaududi6205 It is somewhat easier to develop internal power with xing yi because xing yi training assumes you are starting without already having internal power. There is clear a progression from obvious force, to hidden force to empty force. Traditionally the men that came to tai chi and bagua were ready for the hidden force stage.

Looks nice and dancelike. Wonder what the result would be if you mixed this with a decent combatives practitioner???
@TheIronandSilk Жыл бұрын
MrNomark...Exactly right! He punched one, (note left hand is down by his hip) then used the left hand for punch two. Then on three he steps out. A regular person would clock him before he throws strike number two...it's common sense. Thanks for pointing this out as I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone see this.

All this sounds really like Bagua theory, right, Sifu?

There's a lot of similarities to the Yang 2 person form.

Heavy on theory, lacking in practical application. Violence is unpredictable and spontaneous. You are over complicating something that must be simple to be effective. Better to spend the time doing jam jhong. Good luck with it. Laoshr #60 CYKFA

None of this is realistic when it comes to actual fighting. Please put the pads on and try any of this...
@Allen2saint2 жыл бұрын
“Putting on the pads” isn’t realism. Talk to people who do security, combat and law enforcement. It all comes in close range and it comes fast. This is a way to control the opponent and strike when necessary.
