This is a good philosophy, but...this is still incomplete as a practical concept at enthusiast level, you haven't covered aspects like lighting, and dosing as this could easily be a nightmare if those things aren't addressed with minimalist planting. So I was expecting more of that info, maybe you could follow up on that when you setup this kind of scape at your gallery. Personally speaking I tried minimalist planting a few times but it was a struggle with all sorts of algae like diatom at lower levels of light and filamentous algae at higher lighting level and in the end I had to balance the equation by filling in a lot more plants to compete with algae followed by root tabs in inert substrate and the minimalist scheme went out of window, (and further to add to this I always over-filter with more media than its actually required for any setup). So maintenance and measures taken to address that issue would have been a valuable insight to this method, that I was highly anticipating in this setup guide. Please take your time to reply after reading my comment.
