Beautiful 😊💖 Karen I could cry! I've done a lovely tulip painting today but it's ruined! I masked off some smaller white flowers around the base of them and when I rubbed the masking fluid off (pebeo pen) it tore the paper in several places 😢. The paint and masking fluid were both dry and I also used salt which got on the masked flowers. I used a different paper to what I usually use. I normally buy a rough cold pressed but in this instance I used hot pressed smooth grain satin (The Langton). Have I used the wrong paper for this method? Thanks Sarah.

Oh gosh, you paint in my style, I love a loose background, and the foreground more highlighted and in focus. I am a new subscriber. I am an amateur artist been painting for about 5 years and am in love with watercolour semi/abstract style using different mediums, salt, clear wrap, bleach, granulating medium. I love your work, very inspiring!👍 I am hooked on Daniel Smith but he's a bit expensive! I also use Japanese watercolours, vibrant and exciting.

That's wonderful, watercolour really is a great medium for abstract work. Like you say you can create so many wonderful effects using so many different tools! I agree Daniel Smith is expensive!! I haven't tried Japanese watercolours, so will do so... thank you :)

Thank you Cathie, so glad you like the greens I mixed for this painting. In the background: I used Sepia, Yellow Ochre, Permanent Yellow & Cobalt Turquoise. In the foreground I used: Permanent Yellow, Cobalt Turquoise & Indigo. Hope this was helpful :)
