Hey Standley! Great video as always☺️. Thanks for always being so thorough and helpful to us makers. I have a really random question for you haha, here’s hoping you can help me out or lead me in the right direction. - I’m starting my own candle business, and I’m making my own Vessels out of Plaster/Cement. Both of those are very porous materials and aren’t waterproof of course, so I’m currently looking for a safe waterproofing sealant for them that’ll prevent the wax from seeping out + a sealer That isn’t flammable... I’ve literally searched everywhere for answers and a lot makers seem to be using some Polycrylic material, but turns out its extremely flammable. I was wondering if you personally know of a good waterproofing sealant to use for the vessels? Or if you have any friends who can help that use cement/plaster vessels for their candles? Thank you!

I use 464 as well! I’m new to this, I’ve seen videos where you pour at 135 and others where you pour at 160 and even higher. Ive done both to see the results. My candles look great after they cure, nice smooth top but when I test them I burn them for a few hours and blow out when they harden back up they are all lumpy and have holes. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thank you!

@@QueenMelika I use 464 wax as well as I've found that pouring at 140 and heating the jar prevents frosting. I find you cannot move the jar or wick at all once your pour the wax, or the wax will be bumpy after you light and let cool.
