Great work! When using a propress If you’ll use a scotch brite pad on your copper after sanding, it will seal much better. Looks to me like you’re a better tech than most, and you’re half the age of a lot of techs.

Couple things I see that bug me 1. Reclaiming with digital gauges 🥴 I promise you in enough time you’re gonna fry those gauges. Get some beater analog gauges for reclaim 2. Unit is basically touching the wall - no bueno 3. Goodman / Carrier unit combo 😂 Other than that you got it running !

The only ones they use where im from is digital gauges and don't have an issue with them. I would assume they might fry when not used properly hence why you might have a bad relationship with them lol

Do you ever run into problems when using a certain brand for the condenser/compressor and another for the airhandler as I think I saw done with this install (Carrier/Goodman)? Are there issues to look out for?

Extended line sets IMO that run out to the side are hella ugly. Homeowner concern most likely. Most homeowners don’t care if it’s cleanly ran but if it poses a chance of them running into the lines then they throw a fit

On the recovery tank does it matter what side you put the hose on?
@MaintenanceMan00
@MaintenanceMan00 3 ай бұрын
It does not matter no. On recovery tanks the liquid side has a dip tube that goes to the bottom of the bottle. When reclaiming refrigerant it’s said it helps to hook up to vapor side in order to speed up the process.
@JN19153

Did he purge those lines before the recovery or am i missing something?
@ellis1459
@ellis1459 15 күн бұрын
You wouldn’t have to purge the lines when recovering would ya? Unless the refrigerant you’ve taken out is gonna be reused. when out on site we put virgin refrigerant back in anyway so you’d purge the lines when charging.

I work for a small company in Texas it’s just me and my boss. We do only residential and light comercial. Started working for him in 2019 as a helper when I was 19, started running my own van when I turned 22. So 2 years on my own. Summers up now and my hours are very low. Gonna end up working at a carrier supply house. I was wondering if anyone in the comments know anything about being behind the counter working compared to on the field running service. Any tips anybody?

Most people don’t. Disconnects are grounded to itself and protect the ground from transferring to the in and out terminals. Unless the wire is damaged/exposed, there is no need. I still do though :)
