STEP-BY-STEP EYE PAINTING TUTORIAL IN ACRYLIC | BEGINNERS GUIDE ON CANVAS BY DEBOJYOTI BORUAH

In this eye painting tutorial I am showing the process of painting a human eye with the easy to follow step by step technique. I am using water as the only medium. No retarder is used for this painting process. Moreover I am showing the process of color mixing to achieve the flesh skin tone color in a very easy way with the help of vertical palette side by side.
I have started this painting with a sketch followed by under painting with scarlet lake, yellow ochre, burnt umber, white and ultramarine blue. Then, I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone and the effect of transparent cloths. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.

You're so good!! How do you keep your paint wet 'cause mine gets dry easily on the canvas and on the palette which makes it hard for me to blend. Any tips?

I simply use water mist spray on my palette time to time to keep my paint moist. I don't use any retarder or medium at all. You can try it. It works just fine. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏

So realistic... And very well explained... Is it must to paint the canvas with watery yellow ocher or burnt Amber.. As iv heard that when you paint above it the colours are vibrant and binded well. Is this true. As I am a new Lerner.. So I am confused 😕..

Thank you. Actually it depends on the subject I choose. I use different backgrounds for different result. U cans see my other videos. But yellow ochre and burnt umber goes well with any Skintone.

Shuruyat patle layer se karna chahiye. Baad me rang ke layers charhate jana hai. Ek baar me nahi. Thank you

Isn’t the eyebrow back to front? The lachrymose part of the eye is on the nose, so the eye brow should start above it and move to the right with hairs laying to the right. Beautiful art work and superb blending though.
