I am an experienced interior designer who is trying to switch from software like SketchUp and AutoCAD to Blender. Thank you for the clarity and validity of your explanation that I was looking for. Blender software should improve itself a lot in terms of the beginning of modeling (CAD). Users will increase a lot. Blender developers are not aware. There are add-ons. But they need to improve the net drawing starting from point, line, surface. (Tr.) Add-on lar var. Ama nokta, çizgi, yüzey den başlayarak net çizimi geliştirmeleri gerek.

As a beginner to blender, learning the basics, you have pretty much covered everything that i learned from hours of tutorial. Your efforts and giving more information on the shortcuts every step and elaborating each step is so kind! also, it's so amazing that you provided free resources along with paid sources. I would love if you made a guide on free good resources and materials i can get from. Also how to import/export and present a project for the clients and files extensions everyone should know about while using blender. Subscribed and looking forward. ❤ You r amazing.

When adding doors to the 'Boolean' collection they continue to be hidden inside of the walls. I have ensured the 'Boolean Modifier' in 'Walls' is set to Difference / Collection / Boolean / Exact and it sits under the Solidify modifier created earlier. I have also made sure to select the correct part of the doors to 'M'ove to the Boolean collection. I am unsure how to proceed now.
@Dude_BlenderАй бұрын
@@Massy2k you are sure you’re using the ctrl_hole object of each door as the Boolean and not ANY other thing? The other reason I could think about is if the walls are too thick and the Boolean cutter is completely inside the wall.

Great tutorial! However, I ran into some issues with the windows. I tried assigning different colors to each room, but it didn’t work for rooms that share a wall. My approach was to outline each room and the exterior walls, then extrude them one by one. The doors worked fine, but when I added the windows and included them in the boolean collection, they became distorted, they had become boxes. Could you help me figure this out?
@Dude_Blender2 ай бұрын
Hey mate! Yeah adding materials is something I’ll cover in the next version of this video, BUT, it’s easier if you just apply the modifiers, first the solidify and then the Boolean. Then you can assign different materials to different walls. Note that this effectively commits the geometry so from that point on making changes to the walls is significantly more difficult. Hope this helps!

@@Dude_Blenderif I dont put the solidifier, it wont work?
@Dude_Blender2 ай бұрын
@@thevm8446 if you don’t apply the modifiers it won’t work since there will be no real geometry for both sides of the wall, and any material you apply to one side will automatically be applied to the other.

while laying out the outline, with absolute snap to grid on, i made accurate outline of the walls, and it showed so on the top left of corner where the distance (x, y, z) (total) is given but when i measure it with the edge measurement, it gives inaccurate measurement equal to one third of what i actually layyed down while inputting the measurements. it also gives the same inaccurate measurement in the transform tab.

8:30 what does "B" do in the case where you move the point? ?
@Dude_Blender12 күн бұрын
Hey mate. B activates "base point" it takes the point you click next as the base, then the next one as the reference. Here we want to move the vertex in only one axis so that it matches the horizontal position (but not the vertical) of another one. Hope that clarifies.

including the ceiling design?
@Dude_Blender4 ай бұрын
Hey mate, I don’t do that since I don’t have use for it. I just do the same process and place both plans next to each other so that everything is visible. If you want to create the whole house for a virtual walkthrough or a video game asset, the process would be quite different as you’d have to bake the lighting. You could probably start by just doing both floors and adding a ceiling in he same way as we did the floor, then stacking both plans, but I’ve never done it so I couldn’t say if this works. Cheers!
