This inspires me to try my own pedis, but it's so hard to reach down sometimes! I've also been in a long standing battle with dry heels and caluses, so lately I've been moisturizing them at night with foot cream, and I swear by the Lush foot soap pumice power, it's amazing and feels really nice in the shower

The only thing I would add is describe the amount of seconds to put your toes in the lamp. This was first first DIY gel pedi and I estimated a minute each time.

i would put the cream at the very end after all is done instead of putting the cream and then having to remove the cream from each nail... i would do that at last!

For how long should you cure each layer?

It depends on your lamp! I use the 2 minute setting on this lamp - but have cured my Gelish polishes in 60!
