Hey man, love the video. Out of curiosity. I have an FNS -40 with an attached laser sight/flashlight combo. Would it be safe to use my actually pistol with the attatchment on it as the mold outline? I'm also left handed so you can tell that ordering these is a limited opportunity. Thanks!

That's awesome, I really like the simplicity of your press. Is there any reason I couldn't heat up the kydex in an ACTUAL over? Does it give off toxic fumes or anything?

What kind of foam do you use I have tried two different kinds and am still not getting a good amount of definition. I am almost always getting a round edge instead of a good square edge on the edges of the gun. Can you offer any advice on this problem?

I would love to make one of these for my plastic bb gun. However, I'm scared that the gun will break because it is made of plastic. Does it harm the gun and if yes, are there any posibilities to prevent it? (for example wrap the gun in aluminium foil...)

I was hoping to see this holster on a person after you were done. I like the hybrid style/1 clip holster I have and am setting up to make one. the clip gos in the middle/outside though (with a slight raised section so flat nut doesn't touch the gun. This looks like a good idea and maybe I can combine/come up with something.

I enjoyed the information you presented but certainly wish you had included MUCH more information about what the various items you used were specifically and where to get some of the items. For example, what kind of foam do you use in the press and where could I get the same foam? Addressing these what and where questions for all of the materials and any of the tools not typically found in a home workshop / tool bag would be very helpful to many in your audience. hmm, you using .060 thickness kydex? I would say you could push that too at least 340 degrees. I have been using .080 and can push that past 350 w/o glossing or wrinkling, gets some great definition.

Matt Weber Thats not entirely true lol. I find the corded harbor freight tools to be decent. My angle grinder was like $14 I've had it 2 years and its seen alot of use. My welder is decent for smaller jobs. I wouldn't use it for big jobs at all! The cut off wheels and hand tools are devent. Would I buy their tools for work? He'll nah.. But for around the garage. Or for a tool that won't getvuswd much. Harbour freight tools are pretty damn good. Imo

Yeah everybody has a clamp set up like that and a half ton press and rivet dies, polishing wheel and a scroll saw laying around the garage. Nice holster though.

Just made my first kydex holsters last week. Got the materials for the press at Lowes for approx. $25. Used Clip Pro clips I had, some Chicago screws, [no need for rivets or riveting tools], and a few tools. I used a drill, a grinder, a belt sander, and a screwdriver. I'd love to have a machine shop but but hand tools will do nicely. I've already got people asking me to make holsters for them.

Make some other stuff from what you bought. Step 4.) Also have a plastic replica of your gun for the molding process........ Step 5.) Dont watch this video and expect a tutorial.
