I underestimate the difficulty late night and ended up sleeping at 5AM; I had to wake up at 7AM. I ended up spending 12 hours trying this fight with no end in sight. After watching this video, I was able to get the platinum trophy on my first try. I used three raise, which mean my play was pretty poor, but with little luck, I beat it up. Unfortunately I forgot to make a save file after getting the trophy but well... That's fine. I really appreciate this video, thank you so much. That concludes my 244 hours of enjoyment.

I finally did it! Thanks so much for this guide man! Took me a while to get used to Sephy's dodge and spin attack (and knowing what its range is). I had to remind myself of the simple stuff as well - like kiting Odin a bit, spacing out C + S, grabbing Odin's attention and then swapping between C + S etc. I was really starting to feel like I was gonna be stuck on this one for ages, I just needed a little break and came back fresh and got it. Also wanna give a shout to Optinoob's guide too, you're both top-tier. Next stop, the true nightmare: Sephiroth 3D Brawler!

Duuuuude! I've beaten all the challenges up to this one but somehow this was giving me more troubles than Bonds of Friendship. I tried to follow a magic build similar to yours but I think it wasn't using Sephiroth potential properly. Tried yours right now out of desperation and worked first try! It even went horribly wrong cause during Bahamut it didn't register the limit command and I realised that a few seconds too late, so then Sephiroth died and Cloud had to solo 1/3 health Bahamut without reraise, but managed! Then Odin first half also went very bad, got hit a lot and Sephiroth was low due to the previous fight, casted reraise on both but somehow in the end I didn't even need it cause your sequence always allowed to use something or react to something, stellar guide! Thank you!! Now onto hard mode for the platinum!

I left a very bitter comment earlier about not being able to get the hang of Sephiroth or his limit break hack, which I've now deleted, but I kept at it and got as far as Odin. First off… you’re awesome, your videos are easy to follow and having the descriptions while you explain is priceless! I had to become a Patreon (Brian). Second, I don’t know why or what my mental barrier is. I can knock out rounds 1-8 so easily now that I play around with them to try different things, most of these battles (even after doing them 100 times…. no joke there… I’ve been trying this for a week now). Then fuckin Bahamut. I follow your steps perfectly and I can beat him only 1/3 of the time. I’ve reached Odin about 10 times and got real close most of the time, I think he is easier than Bahamut. Anyway, everyone commenting that they did this on their first try after following your video (or even after 3-5)…. I Envy You!!! Truly amazing….. why can’t I! Ugh. If anyone read all that, thanks for listening to me rant. And any advice is appreciated. 😢

Thanks for the support. I responded to you on my discord. And I know what you mean. I had a hard time with the last two myself. But I was able to figure out when to block and go on the offensive. Odin especially. You need to block his attacks to gain ATB and attack back. Only then will he use Sleipnir’s Furor and get pressured. After that it’s all ATB management

I only have this and Bonds and then the Plat is mine. Thank you. I used the build in your video and found the commentary / screen prompts useful. Now, for everyone reading, it is not as easy as it looks. I wish I was one of those 'Yay first try' guys, but I would say almost 30 tries and I got there. I got to Odin 4 times. The 9 battles before become relatively easy (you still gotta pay attention). Odin is quite random and I honestly think you need a little luck on your side.

You've got a new sub - great content. I have a question though... in what order am I supposed to do all of this? I've spent 400 hours... (yes...400, I know but a lot of that has simply been sightseeing and watching stories and plots again) and I'm trying to finally Plat this damn game but I am STILL confused. Do I Hard Mode everything first? I'm currently on Chapter 10 HM. I do NOT have the Gotter AND I have not finished the Legendary fights.. plus I'm obviously a number of folios short. Do I Brutal/Legendary FIRST and THEN finish Hard Mode or the other way around? Some KZbinrs have the Gotter and then do the Chadley Tortures while others do those first and then tackle Hard Mode. It seems to make a HUGE difference to have Level 9 as opposed to 8. I want all the manuscripts for sure and LOTOW keeps kicking my ass, so the Gotter has been something I put off. I hate being killed right at the end by Greg or Seph just when everything else has gone so well to that point. ...help? LOL

Hey. I recommend getting the Gotterdammurung first if you having issues with hard mode. The challenges require some strategies to pull off and can be done e even if you didn’t complete hard mode. But yes, the more the manuscripts the somewhat easier they’ll get. Another important thing is to master the materia that you’ll be using. Makes all the difference. Died to Bahamut 3 times because he kept transforming when I didn’t have 2 atb and Odin twice. He kept getting all fathers fury off and killing me and Sephiroth instantly but luckily during the unlimited MP phase after the synergy skill I used reraise on Cloud and he killed me with like 1 hp left so luckily I rose and got to kill him otherwise I would have been screwed. Great guide

Got to Odin on my first try but had a couple of hiccups along the way so I didn't have enough MP to handle the onslaught. I'll get him one or these days!

Could someone clarify what is meant by prime mode + block? I’m trying to do it on my end but it doesn’t seem to do anything and Cloud just gets knocked about and loses too much health against Bahamut (which is as far as I’ve gotten in these challenges). EDIT: Finally beat it on getting to Bahamut for the third time and Odin on my first. This guide was a godsend despite my crap blocking skills with Cloud and will def use your one for Bonds of Friendship. Shoutout to Alexander for causing a game crash on their defeat on my third-last attempt (no idea why this happened here but I’m blaming them for it).

This Guide helped me lots. Ooonly: i cant get passed Alex: did what u do in the guide, but when my sephi attacks the arms, the thundagas are soo slow. When im about to attack the other arm, alex starts to destroy me in few hits. Dont get it? Whats the secret. Im cruisin through stages 1-6 so its annoying to start over again and again

But i like the move u figured! Found another way : run op the left of alex and in Prime block his attacks and hit the arms with magic

Compared to Zack’s Bout this was really easy Sephiroth was easy to get used to and I beat Odin on his second try (couldn’t beat him first time due to RNG) I suggest getting Sephiroth’s limit break twice during the Odin fight as I used them both either during his stagger or to make hin stagger Thank you for the guides Optinoob, now only the Hard Mode remains for me!

Yup. They increase weapon levels: Base stats, materia slots and links, new abilities etc. So, if you were to get them you’ll see everything that you’ll get when you level up by getting the next manuscript.

I lost against Bahamut damn! He had few hp but I didn't destroyed his wings fast so he used Gigaflare...but I'm almost at the end of this brutal way. Cannot give up (anyway be a hero seems like easier than bond of friendship to me) Edit : I did it! Smashed Odin in 3 minutes. Bahamut was the though one Thank you for your strategies. Without them it would have been impossible to overcome them!

Edit: I don't know if I can walk through the wall yet I'm about to find out on my next run I thought it was a full barrier I feel like I have no idea what's going on because these flights are making me so goddamn focused I can't just step back and look at the bigger picture. This asshole literally split the field and cloud and sephiroth were on two separate sides so I'm using shift / from behind a fucking wall and then he uses temporal imprisonment on sephiroth on one side of the wall in cleves me down he was at 25% health this is such a fucking bullshit dude I hate this shit I don't even know why they had to make challenges like this without a fucking goddamn fucking checkpoint I'm so fucking pissed I've been doing this for weeks or months and I've taken a couple of breaks for a few days or maybe a week at one point. I appreciate your help with bahamut though I just have to learn to get all the way to the end and have enough MP for manawall X2 and reraise. It's really weird that Odin doesn't die fast because I remember in rulers of the outer worlds I took that guy down with four fire spells Max I know I will beat it but I don't want it to be some kind of shaky angry crazy psychotic barely made it type of thing I can definitely practice against the Odin in the simulator so that's a plus

Am I the only one who seems to be struggling with this? I think this is far more frustrating than Bonds of Friendship. Sephiroth just wont build his Limit gauge at the same rate for me, which really throws the whole strategy out the window. I've been trying for the last week and never seem to get Odin past 25% health

You need to build his triangle gauge first. Then you'll be able to use Skyshatter by pressing circle towards and enemy and pressing triangle. Getting hit will reset the gauge and you need to build it up again. You can check my Patreon if you need help :)

Yeah. Sephiroth makes this way easier than with Zack. Using the synergy unlimited MP and having ReRaise on deck let me beat Bahumet and Odin easily. Just make sure you’re as close to max MP going into the Odin figjt. It will save a lot of headache

I hate Alexander so much. I guess I need to get used to Sephiroth. But Jabberwock, Alexander, and King Zu back to back is rought. I just don't get how you get Petrified. It just happens no matter how defensive you think you were. Alexander is always a luck based fight and for whatever reason Alexander almost ALWAYS starts Tracking beam and/or Earth Tremor. Doesn't matter you're in the air it hits you. These 2 moves plus Whirling Ray are defining in ending your run. And King Zu is ass. You can't really Sword Shift randomly cause you just get spamked by a random wind attack or oh you dodged into his face Gale Pinion. I see where the problem is. Coming into King Zu I basically died because Cloud died in the Alex fight

With Alexander, break the arms as fast as you can. If you see tracking beam, do counterfire with Cloud. Same with King Zu. Break his wings. Lemme know if you need any help

@@akhafasu I honestly just learned you can do that against Alex's attacks. The methods wasn't used at all in any video I've seen on previous bouts. I think I commented on your pre step by step video. I'm frustrated because I just keep fumbling the bag with Odin. Combining Seph's whole limit build scam this shouldn't be hard I dunno. I beat BOF on a day off where I got plenty of sleep the night before. And I'd just been grinding this out for like the last 2 hours knowing I have work. Probably just need to go to bed and give it another day. If anything I just wish they didn't put Bahamut in this as quiet frankly an easier run killer than Odin.
