I wanted one long video from start to finish without having to do multiple parts. Most viewers just skip to the parts they are looking for anyway. Thanks for the support though, guys!

1:01:30 I am having issues with my intake manifold seating in its place. It won’t sit all the way down and there’s nothing hindering it or in the way. The injectors just won’t go into their spots. Any advice?
@willpoweredgarage969
@willpoweredgarage969 Ай бұрын
Hopefully the injectors are still in the cylinder head itself. I will usually apply some sort of lubricant to the injector o-ring where it goes in the fuel rail. Vaseline works in a pinch. just make sure they are going in straight, can sometimes wiggle the injector a bit to get it in. The other thing I would check is that you installed the air dividers in the intake ports the right way and they are flush with the gasket surface. Hope this helps, Let me know how you make out, and thanks for watching.

First off, you're amazing for taking the time to make this, Second...I need to replace my cams because they're pitted like crazy in a car that sat for a long time (I'm thinking trapped moisture corroded parts of the lobes and then that rust came off when the car was run) It runs fine, but I know they need to be replaced, and the timing belt is due anyways so I figured I 'd knock out both. If installing the cams with the head still attached/in the car, do I need to move the crank back from the TDC position a tiny bit when tightening the cam bolts to prevent valves from getting damaged?
@willpoweredgarage969
@willpoweredgarage969 3 ай бұрын
So, I usually will do just that, Turn the crank back just a bit from TDC so there is no chance of valve damage. Then set your cam timing and lock it in before turning the crank back so you can get everything in time. Thanks for watching

It's called Elsapro. Unfortunately, you must be a service tech at a dealer to have access to it.

Just out of curiosity were there actually any bent valves when they are on the table they look straight. My tensioner and chain busted I did a compression test on all cylinders and they passed but worried there still could be other damage

Yes, There were bent valves. I have taken apart so many VW and Audi turbo engines. I have never seen one that did not bend at least one valve after a failure. I would often take the valve out, and chuck it in a drill so I can spin it. Its an easy way to see if its bent. Even a slight bend will not seat correctly and will burn the valve seat up very fast if not replaced. Thanks for watching, and good luck.

Yes, I have done this job many times and have never used the tool. Just take your time and make sure everything goes down evenly. Also, make sure to use the correct sealant and quantity. Thanks for watching.

Just wonder what is the price for new valves
@willpoweredgarage969
@willpoweredgarage969 3 ай бұрын
That depends on what valves and if they are factory valves or aftermarket. Some of the valves are sodium filled and these are more expensive, but help with keeping the valve cool.

Just wanted to ask what engine code you have? Or if your a4 is a b7 because I am about to start working on my TT and I wanted to make sure that this video would help me because there isn’t very many videos on the FSI

I do not recall the engine code this engine was. But I can tell you that the engines are very similar and the torque specs I show here and procedure should be the same.

Why did he not test the valve springs for height and spring pressure.
@willpoweredgarage969
@willpoweredgarage969 5 ай бұрын
Because it is a stock engine, not a race car. If the springs look ok, then they are probably fine. Thanks for watching
