Special thanks to Manny (@Manny_Santiesteban) for teaching me the correct process on doing a burnout on a Harley Davidson.
It really is easy to do and it feels awesome. The basic steps are:
1- Stand up off the bike. This removes weight from the rear wheel.
2- Hold the clutch
3- hold the FRONT brake
4- While holding the front brake, start to roll back on the throttle.
5- slowly release the clutch
6- once the rear tire catches and begins to spin, control the swinging of the bike with your legs.
7- CHECK YOUR TIRE ONCE DONE.
LEGAL STATEMENT: I never advocate doing static burnouts, rolling burnouts, wheelies, stopies, or any kind of motorcycle stunt on an open street where there is traffic. ALWAYS do your stunts in a controlled environment such as a stunt lot, closed parking lot, or empty street with good visibility.
I have NO 'formal' training in how to do burnouts, this video is meant for entertainment purposes only, and is not intended to be a complete, accurate, or explanation of the methods, processes, and protocols for operating or maintaining a motorcycle in any way. Operating a motorcycle is an inherently risky activity. You should operate your vehicle in observance of all traffic laws at all times and wear proper safety equipment and clothing. You should not operate a motorcycle without a valid motorcycle endorsement. Check your State's laws and regulations for more information.

I've got a 81 Superglide so I know the typical smoking of the back tire is tricky, therefore before I croak, I MUST do what we all want too smoke the back tire

You don’t even need a wall if you know how to break traction using the front brake then a proper bike burnout you’ll end up shooting the moon which just means doing a 360 then finishing going through the middle

well, as you saw, I was just learning. as I recommend anyone learning try against the wall first. But don't worry, I was off the wall later that night.

Isn’t it possible to do it with just breaks? No wall
@305RIDER
@305RIDER 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. This is just a recommended safety precaution for when first starting out while you get the muscle memory, hand placement and a feel for what the bike will do. I did them on walls daily for about a week, a now I can do them anywhere.

Smoke comes from everywhere , what if smoke is coming from ya damn shift lever before the back wheel starts spinning . (Know the answer btw just for the first timers) they may like to know what that means so they don’t panic , or … yes panic lol

Heads up. This is not how to do a burnout. If you need to push the front wheel against a wall it’s because you have no clue what you’re doing .

You’re right. As I stated in the video, I had no clue what I was doing. Hence why manny had me put the wheel again the wall.
