Yes im so sorry I left that out. The black mesh needs that is underneath the lace frontal/closure needs to be cut. Im gonna pin this comment bc this is the most common question I see on this video.

As someone with alopecia, this tutorial has been a lifesaver! I couldn't go to my regular wig hairdresser during this pandemic so I was able to start making my own!!! Plus, they are WAY cheaper to make than to purchase!!! So I've gained a new skill and I'm saving money!!!

I haven't watched the whole thing yet because right now I'm just trying to sew extra wefts in, but you are the first person I have seen in like 20 videos I've tried to watch so far that actually slowed it down and explained in detail when hand sewing the wefts onto the cap, so THANK YOU!!!! I can't tell you how many people just start sewing in the video without saying what or why, and then they speed it up and their hands are in the way so you can't tell what the specifics are. I used this tutorial to make a yarn wig but since yarn doesn't come in wefts I had to hand sew in every piece of yarn individually. It took me like a week but it turned out amazing

This is a great tutorial, it demonstrates how to make a wig step by step, and even demonstrates two separate ways to sew the hair to the cap. As someone who just stumbled on this video and knew basically nothing about how wigs are made, it gave me a lot of insight. As a costume designer and creator, this video has given me a new way to make hair for my costumes and cosplays. I now know how to make a customized wig for any character. I really appreciate this video. Although I do have one question. What type of thread do you use? It looks thicker than normal cotton all purpose thread, but looks softer than thick upholstery thread.
