Thanks for this. I will never get there now, but I feel like I have been because of you. I am amazed that the streets are trash free, although I see a lot of wheelie bins. I am amused by all the plumbing running outside the buildings, but wonder how the drains were ever put in. How does the city deal with sewage? Where are the clean water lines? Where are the electricity wires? How do restaurant supply trucks ever get in, and the subsequent waste removed? In short, how does this city work I wonder. All this attractive quaintness and natural beauty must be achieved by a lot planning and work. Only the collective will of the people who live there could sustain it. I salute them.

Loved going here when I was 15 back in 87, so many precious memories. one being winning the pavement drawing competition by the beach and being in the local paper, crabbing, watching the fishing boats and spending lots of time on the gorgeous beach swimming in the clear blue ,sea, eating the massive cornish pasties and cornish ice creams that cost £1 and spending time round the lovely shops. We stayed at smugglers cottage. Hope to come back soon with my adult daughters and 6 Yr old granddaughter to make new precious memories it still looks the same as I remember it
