I have a 2024 BMW X1 M35i. BMW no longer offers fog lights on their recent cars/SUVs. I just drove through dense fog last weekend and it was awful. Is there a way to add fog lights to my X1 M35i? Thanks!

Dawg, I HATE how few North American Domestic Market (NADM) cars have no fog lights, let alone no OPTIONS for them. Aren't they pretty well mandated for EU? And rear fog lights! I don't know why we have such LITTLE access to these things! I will NEVER go for a car without fogs. It really helps too that the fogs will cut off with hi-beams, increasing contrast and confirming to other driver when hi-beams are on/off.

This kit allows for factory function, where the backlight turns on with the parking lights, and fog lights turned on with the low beams.

Does anyone know why there's tape on the small box next to the red cover? Mine came with that from factory in November '23 when I got my '24, and this is the first time I've seen it on another Mustang GT. I never removed it, but I always wondered why it was there

Ssssoooo.....................what's the point of the Elite Series with an "aiming mechanism" that CAN'T be aimed while the light is installed on the car?! LOL! Going through that disassembly/reassembly process three or four times (or more!) to "guesstimate" where the FLs "might" be aimed when they're back on the car does not strike me as a good time. Just sayin................. Very nice looking FL assemblies/lights though!

I designed this kit. They can be aimed on a regular GT by pealing back the fender liner, or by reaching from the bottom with the underbody tray removed. On GT's with the optional Performance Package, the oil cooler will block access to aim the LH lamp only. The aiming tool matches the aim I correctly set on Diode's 2024 Mustang GT, so it's unlikely that adjustment would be needed. However, if adjustment is needed, it should be a strong starting-point. To properly adjust aim on a Performance Pack GT: temporarily hang the bumper without the oil cooler duct installed, secure the bumper to the fender with 1 screw each, lower the vehicle to the ground, reach from the underside to aim, then reinstall the duct and fully reassemble. There is no need to install/remove all 30+ screws when adjusting the aim. I'm sorry for the miscommunication in the video. I'm not sure why they thought it wasn't possible to access the lamps at all.

Do I need to choose between a white fog light or an amber fog light? According to this video one fog light does both? Thank you.

You can choose either a white fog light or a yellow fog light, however, both options will include an amber backlight that acts as an extra running light while the main beams are not in use!
