Let me tell you a story, now that I saw the part you were talking about strapping down, I've worked with a small cheap company that didn't have tie downs or E track system. But I'm a good packer, as I was taught by a great guy (RIP AL) and I've loaded 26' box trucks so good and had only one strap that I only used at the end, going up and down hills, turning, nothing shifted.

I've been in the moving business for years working with Companies. When I started doing my own side work, it was with my bosses 16'-26' box truck. She would tell us, "Just put gas in it and if you damage it, you pay for it." I didn't do it often but when I did it, it was good pay, but the problem was finding a helper, even if I got a co-worker, he wanted a higher pay than me. I've done moves myself, it's possible, but it's too hard on your body. Now I know it takes longer, but when I was by myself, I took apart what I thought was necessary.

Hello. The same coverages apply for intrastate that apply for interstate except intrastate is cheaper because there is less liability because you are not crossing state lines.

I stared advertising for moving in FL and get a few jobs a week I rent from uhaul and I have a small pick up truck but I want to register as a legitimate business so I can get a moving broker but I’m having a hard time bc I don’t own a moving truck so I can’t get cargo insurance without insurance I can’t register as a moving company. Good question. Moving is a regulated industry. First on the state level and second on the federal level. The reason is because your transporting household goods which are peoples personal belongings. My suggestion is if you want to continue to run it as a gig business there are some other resources that I can show you. But in order to legitimize it and get all the proper insurances you must get licensed. And like I said it’s regulated so there are some steps you have to go through in order to become a fully licensed mover. It’s do doable. Maneuvering it in certain situations may be challenging. But if you have a truck to pull it, it can be a cheaper alternative to a box truck.

Some 4-5 bedroom homes may not require certain aspects moved like garage, attic etc. Maybe I should have been more clear. But I’ve done modest 4-5 bedroom moves in a 26’ truck.
