You have a talent for watercolor, but I think what you have a legit gift for is TEACHING. I'm subscribed to a lot of watercolor artists on KZbin and you outweigh them all with your ability to explain and demonstrate your technique. The way you are able to explain your movements is extremely helpful and something that other artists (that I watch anyway) just aren't very good at doing. You really are a phenomenal teacher, I'm so glad I found your channel, it's helped me so much. 🖤🥰

I first watched your videos thinking I could learn to paint. I watch them over and over but my skills haven’t improved. I still watch the videos just because I love to see the colors and shapes take bloom into beautiful art! I’m stubborn enough to try again though.

Can I just say that your tutorials are my absolute favourite, you actually paint in real time so it’s easy to follow and you explain everything rather than play music and whiz through it . Not that I dislike creators that do haha you’re all incredibly talented but as a beginner I found your videos to be the most helpful and the advice actually sticks way after I finished watching tysm

Hi Emma So I saw a card of loose water color florals In the card store and it made me ant to see if I can do this, I have never painted much before nor did I have anything to work with. So I got on you tube you were the first tutorial I started with. You explain everything really well. Thank you. My first attempt did not look too good but it was a good practice session with you while you were teaching me. My second time is so much better. I would like to send you my practice sheet so you can see how easy you make it for me and how it turns out with you talking me thru it all. I bet it is the same for others also. How can I post it here? Anyway thank you for continued teaching . I am going to continue to get better so I can make the cards and use them for greeting cards to friends and family.

Question: I love the real time!! How are you changing colors so quickly when rinsing between colors? I find myself swishing my brush for at least 2-3 seconds between switching colors or else the colors get muddled. You transition so quick and seamlessly!
@cheapscaitcreates73624 жыл бұрын
GaoBacie I’ve seen in some of her other videos where she kind of smashes the brush down against the bottom of the jar. I would guess that releases a lot of the pigment.
@fllini994 жыл бұрын
Actually I find to quickly rinse a brush many painters use a super vigorous motion in something like a figure 8. Small but very fast. Several times. Surprising how well this works! Also you’ll notice many painters don’t push the paint high up the bristles into the ferrule when mixing and loading their brush which is harder to rinse out. Then again some pigments naturally rinse easier than others but I remember being completely confounded over this too! 😀

Hey Emma ! May I ask you have heritage series Princeton brushes with you that I noticed in one of your videos but still you do most of your videos with their snap series. Why is that choice may I know ? Curious . Are snap series better than heritage series in some way ! Regards from India.
@EmmaLefebvre4 жыл бұрын
I enjoy the snap brushes better, they are stiffer. I find the heritage ones too soft for my preference. It’s all up to the individual artist

My comment is so different from everyone else here. After watching your tutorials, I decided to try to follow and found you talk and work so fast, I cannot keep up. I have to constantly stop the video and not only that, you don't in advance talk about what colors you are going to use.
