Just found you today via the humble trader interview. Thanks for sharing your breakdown here, super helpful and valuable info. I've been at this 2 years now trading high leverage crypto. I win over 90% of my trades but still overall losing b/c of poor risk management. I like the strategies you use because they do seem pretty easy to identify entries AND identify where to place your stops. Obviously things r always much easier in retrospect, but really appreciate you sharing your perspective. Will check out some more 🤙

Generally, the higher the time frame you are watching the more clear the pattern is, using the 2 minute chart sometime after the Market open could give you a better view of what’s happening

Great format, have a very important question regarding these 10% partials how much did you risk and how much was the total profit?

I had around 7k shares, risking an average of 1000 usd, resulting in a profit of 6k which is 6:1 R:R. Obviously the risk could be 0 eventually as we manage the trade real time, sometime we have to cut the loss before it hits the stop loss, sometimes for a smaller loser. Target wasn’t 6:1 either, it could’ve been more, or less depending on the price action

Hi Andrew. With the stock up 10% pre-market and you said you had a .60 risk, what was your exit target? You averaged out at $142.83 for a reward of $1.68 and a reward/risk ratio at 2.8 to 1 so that was a solid result, but where did you plan for Amazon to get to?

We try to aim for at least a 2:1 risk to reward ratio; However, we must partial at key levels and try to hold for as much as the stock allows us to. ATR is one of the indicators you can use to know how much the stock can run in average, then combine that with the levels you draw

I don't mean to speak for Andrew but he mentioned in the video that he was targeting the large orders on L2 initially around $142 and then $143. Its a dynamic target that can develop as the trade moves on through time. Many times traders will place their order just under the big asks to insure a fill. However, Andrew regularly trades the break thru the big asks, being a momentum trader. The post market high after earnings was just over $143 as well so I would bet he anticipated that as the target even before the L2 led him there.

When you saw the heavy offer at 142, the price was already at 141.99. When you show the heavy offer at 142.50, the price is at 142.46. How could you take a trade based off the L2 if the current price is mere cents away from what the offer is showing on L2? Or is it moreso used as confirmation that you should hold on to your position after you initial entry prior? Thank you so much!!

Smart! The price goes to the heavy offer, and pushes through it by a bit, keeping close eye on the level 2, and seeing new orders come up gives you the confidence to hold on longer, that all combined with the price action and stock extension from the beginning of the move.
