How do you set up the instrument for single phase logging?

Use one CT cable and two VT cables(One on the live line and the other on the neutral line). After installation, the configuration on the software should be Single phase 2 wire.

Good explanation but please never work on live board. You should be wearing a suitable Arc flash PPE if at all you ever have to work on live bars and breakers. The coverings on those breakers and bus bars are for that reason although I would expect some safety labelling stating DANGER 415V and stating the ARC FLASH ENERGY and Calory ratings.
