They were arguing over homework and Rich not doing it as Dana was his tutor. The verbal bantering turned into kissing. She considered the moment crazy and he asked her out. She said it was "a moment of demented passion" before the bantering started again, which led back to kissing. She then agreed to the date. After the date it would be that would be it before they realized they were rubbing off on each other leading into this scene.

This scene was planed with Cody for sure, before that thing happened to Sasha Mitchel irl. When you think about whole storyline, it was going slowly to the point where Dana would date Cody. But since Cody had to be written out [creators chickened out when Sasha was acussed of domestic violence instead of keeping him in the show anyway] they replaced him with Rich and changed the story line.

yea well Dana is kinda the worst person, I mean shes always using people like think about all the times Cody has to save her and she kinda always calls him an idiot or when shes always setting up JT. The running gag is she is better than Frank and his kids but remember the episode where Mike comes to the house to molest her she is quite happy to use the idiot to save her from his going to far. In the money episode she starts the abuse of a child to get him to run away after demanding she is paid because her moms cut backs dont apply to her. The date with Cody was just to win a bet so yea its the show made her the worst
