Not my stepdad, my mom’s boyfriend. He moved in when I was 12, almost 13. Didn’t take long for me to see he was verbally and emotionally abusive, mostly towards me, and he was a sponge. I told my mom that was what I thought of him a few months in and that she should get rid of him. Her response was that one day my sister and I were going to move out one day and she wanted what she wanted… My sister was almost 18. I wasn’t even 13!!! Worse, I was denied the right to go to college because I had to get a job out of high school to help her support his sponge ass! Do you know how many years of his abuse I put up with?! Technically I still put up with it because they’re still together and I’m 50 now. Do the math… This is why I started seeing my guidance counselor in 7th grade, an actual therapist at 17 and I’m still in therapy today. We won’t even talk about the “father” in this situation. He was worse… My mom sure knew how to pick them, didn’t she…

I tried convincing myself that his odd behaviors were just a cultural thing or that something was mistranslated since he was from a different country. Pretty sure there's big differences in any culture between people being friendly and people being creeps. For example, it's common for friends in the French culture to greet with cheek kisses but in most cases, the kissing doesn't actually make contact. That would only happen with family members (like kids who affectionately kiss their moms on the cheek, not something weird) or between people who are dating. I know there's a culture too where hold-handing between friends is a thing too but in both these examples, consent has to be involved.

5:40 Oh boy I remember when my dad's father did this to me a few months ago, especially in the car. He'd also touch my butt and make comments on my body. He did it even when I kept trying to move away and got offended when I moved away. Sometimes he still does it if he gets the chance. These videos are therapeutic in a sense that it validates my experiences but it's also very disturbing to watch. I do appreciate when people talk about these things, and can sprinkle in a few careful jokes that are still respectful but funny to help make it easier to talk about. Humor is my coping mechanism. Also you might call the acting bad but that mother reminds me very heavily of my dad's mother because she is delusional and crazy. My "grandmother" is literally that insane. She literally constantly said stuff like that to me. This feels almost identical to what I went through. The most unrealistic part of the argument is "go to your room" instead of taking out the wooden spoon.

The truly sad thing is, children get treated like this EVERY SINGLE DAY in this his disgustingly evil. world. But what's even more heartbreaking is when no one believes them. The youngest person to ever give birth was 5 YEARS OLD ! No it's not a typo is said 5 . They're pictures of her with her painfully distended belly showing, and some right after she had her son, I believe it was. And to this day, they have no idea who did this to her.😢
