Could you please do more videos on people with deep side walls, and really overgrown, stuck cuticles that are also delicate?

Oh buddy! those cuticle types are shown somewhere among all the manicure videos 😅 🩶

@@EricasNails I can only find one video with that type of cuticle but I’m struggling with a more extreme version of it. It’s Similar to the first example in the ‘dry manicure on different cuticle types’ video from 3 years ago. It’s sooo attached to the nail and almost all of it looks like live skin, you can’t see much of the cuticle. Hope that makes sense 🤦🏻♀️😂😂

@@chc717This is known as a “spreading cuticle” (has spread onto the nail plate and attached itself). I do not recommend utilizing an e-file to lift it as to properly do it the rpm / grit will need to be high and damage to the nail plate will most likely occur. Instead, the quickest/safest way is to apply some warm water and cuticle remover and use an orange wood stick or pusher to detach it from the nail plate. Once this step is completed and the nail fold has fully been lifted, wipe off excess water and cuticle remover and apply a powder like johnsons powder to absorb the moisture. This is needed as a dry manicure can not be adequately performed on wet/hydrated skin (hyperhidrosis, lotioned skin, recently washed hands, etc). Rub powder onto skin and under nail fold then remove excess using a brush. You can then proceed with your manicure and at the end make sure you are adequately removing all powder from the skin and under the nail fold.

Mmmm! That's why it's important to have different grits for different types of skin. My skin is thin, so I can't use median grit because I can finish damaging myself. Thank you for the video. And I'm a perfectionist 😅 I hate it!
