Steph Curry does not get foul calls | NBA 2021

The 2x NBA MVP gets absolutely no respect from NBA referees. He's constantly grabbed off ball. On ball, he rarely gets landing space. All this is often let go, because of how great he is. He doesn't need these free throws to win multiple scoring titles. However, it's gotten to a point where Steph has to contort weirdly to avoid getting injured. Here are some of the most egregious missed calls/ wrong calls on Stephen Curry.

But he is flopping. His favorites are falling backwards, spreading his legs so the defender will hit him (did it a lot until got exposed) and jumping forward to hit the defender. Plus he fouls a lot of defense and doesn't get called.

no not just that he actually gets hit... even if he doesnt get hit, if he sees a guy closing out at speed or jumping towards him or standing very close, he falls backward on landing. but this isnt flopping, this is natural for him to protect his ankles.... if steph doesnt complain or mention hes getting hit and if he doesnt flail his arms but simply falls backwards and slides on the ground= its not flopping, its protecting his ankles since he missed about 150 games in his career due to injuries of which atleast 125 due to his ankles.

Opposing teams use these methods to wear Steph out over the course of the game. Having to get up from the floor over and over again in addition to the physicality and fouls he is subjected to when he moves without the ball, which the officials never ever call because their focus is usually on the ball, takes a toll on him over the course of a game.

Probably the only ones I can think of is the Bad Boys Pistons in the late 80's that has dealt the same disrespect as Golden States, they get no call and the league would do anything to beat them and that is still not good enough to beat them. to me its weird that he doesnt get the calls, because theres guys in the league CALLED for flopping by media, players, commentators all the time that still get the calls sometimes. but curry isnt called for flopping by other players and commentators, yet he still doesnt get the calls. especially when driving he gets fouled and they just dont call it. Meanwhile bigger players: bigs and tall guards like Luka get 15 free throws per game while they just walk into defenders and steph tries to acrobatically go around them and gets bumped and pushed.

Except the new rule doesn't apply to these fouls. You have to give a shooter place to land safely, or else it's a foul. That's a rule made to protect players from ankle injuries, yet somehow it doesn't apply to Curry? Nobodies airspace infringed upon in the history of basketball while taking jumpers. Jordan and Shaq experienced more physicality but all that was under the rim or driving and generally to stop sure scoring attempts. Steph is by far the most needlessly fouled individual ever! None of these fouls really impact the odds of the shot attempt. IMO.

When they don't call obvious fouls on him it's when he makes the shot.. Maybe it started as a subconscious bias, but once it's recognizable the duty is to confront it and correctly call fouls for him. His free throw attempts per game is ridiculously low. Then you have players who literally built all star careers around jumping into people and flopping and since the league stopped calling those they are below average / role players. We all know at least two players that I am talking about.
