Now Mavs come back down, Luka likely doesn’t take a 3 cause they don’t need it so they go for 2. Do they get it?🤷🏾♂️ Do they get it and Steph still goes back down and score to win, miss, overtime? So many hypotheticals. Point is though, Steph don’t hit that 3, in my opinion, regardless of all the other scenarios, they lose if he misses that. I don’t see why rotating more people would be less sustainable. If anything, working the same 7 or 8 people to death every game would wear them out faster. Spreading out the load and still managing to win seems like a smart and sustainable strategy for the long haul.
@MrE_11 күн бұрын
It gives everyone more experience and helps them be more comfortable in the playoffs when they play different rotations depending on the matchup. The only downside I'd see is the inconsistency of the lineups during the regular season, which can confuse the younger guys or role players, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives
@deadlyninjafish11 күн бұрын
Their arguments were kinda counter to themselves. They were saying at some point they've gotta win without Steph, but then said playing this deep a rotation isn't sustainable. Well, which is it? Do they solely rely on Steph or do they make sure they can win without him? Dumb takes from them.
@herm71211 күн бұрын
@@MrE_ Even the lineup inconsistency is a plus in my opinion. I can't see a downside to having a team of 12 players who can play off each other regardless of which combination of 5 are on the court. I think being able to adjust and be versatile is a plus; if someone is having an off shooting night there's someone else who can rotate into that position and pick up some of the slack; and, like you said, it gives everyone experience which is only a plus as you get deeper into the season and hopefully the playoffs. Time will tell with this approach but I feel like Shaq is right and Chuck & Kenny will be eating their words by the end of the season.
@808Buddha10 күн бұрын
it requires an elite coaching staff and the right pieces along with high iq players to pull it off. look at wiseman and what happened to him as just one example. so for all that to work in conjunction is much easier said than done. not a lot of organizations can pull it off. warriors is one of the few that can.

@@ACISpy12the warriors don't rely on the bench the game against the Mavs the bench lost the lead countless times and the starters got the lead back. As a certified Kerr hater, this is the smartest thing he's done. This is the best way to "load manage" an aging superstar is by limiting the minutes and allowing the other guys to still play the same way with or without him in of the lineup, most similar to Kawhi in Toronto (he still was restricted in games played, but the Raptors still basically played the same way w/o him). Usually when a superstar is out of the lineup, the playstyle of the whole team changes or even when the superstar is over-utilized like Westbrook's triple double season and LeBron for several seasons, the other guys become overly reliant and when they lose get called trash. By limiting Steph's minutes, you get the best of both and all the other guys get to do a rare thing in today's NBA, which is play triple threat basketball. Unlike Bosh, Kevin Love, or Sabonis/Oladipo/Adams in OKC, when they take away the 1 guy, you still have the confidence and familiarity to play basketball rather than just waiting for the ball to come to you. Now the warriors may not be able to sustain the shooting percentage, but all the guys will have the confidence to make basketball plays throughout the season and into the playoffs when the opportunities become available.

An offensive player should not be able to just RUN in front a defensive player on the ball @3:13. If he's gonna set a screen, let the ball handler run towards him so he can THEN create a screen. And he DEFINITELY shouldn't be able to DRAG the defensive player away @3:23! Draymond is and has been the engine that makes this team go.

Kenny talking about don't switch at the end!! It really wouldn't have mattered. They all had no chance except for Kyrie

They did the right thing at the end forcing Luka to go right. he wants that left side step back and is nowhere near as good stepping back to the right.

If the warriors gonna get wind down thru the 82 games so will the other teams, no?? And them having 12~13 playable players should be an advantage, no?? So I don’t get what this sustainable skepticism is all about…. Kyle and Lindy didn’t play today, so they gonna be rested for the next game, so the Dubs can just rotate resting, that’s THE main advantage of having a deep roster, no??
@ktloz224611 күн бұрын
i agree with shaq, it is sustainable. Ken, why wouldn't it be sustainable if they are young guys? Now if they were all old then that might be different.

Experience will be the question come playoff time for the young guys but I'm leaning towards with Shaq. It can be sustained cus they play 11 to 12 guys for the main core to rest and chuck has point as well. Size will be a concern if they happened to be paired with big teams

Completely glossed over the Dray charge when his entire foot was in the restricted area which then led to a steph 3.. or the Dray mollywhop on Gafford the play immediately after.. then they barely mentioned the no foul on the Grimes 3
