Great question! He’s Not paralyzed but extremely stiff! His syndrome affects all aspects of his life- growth/ physical characteristics, mental development and range of motion in his joints. His body is very stiff mostly related to low muscle tone and directly related to his syndrome. Therapy helps a ton with mobility in the body but he will always have to work hard and stretch to have good mobility in his joints!

Hadn't thought of that until you mentioned, yes you are correct, he is holding his head upright more. I noticed in his last vid that he's gained weight, his legs are no longer thin, much more thick now.

Sebastian is so amazing. Looking at older videos and now, the progress he has made is phenomenal. You guys see so much more than we do of course but these past videos have certainly shown he has grown up so much. He is very active and talkative now which is just a blessing to see and hear. School will be a big change for both you and him, but he is going to be the teacher(s) favorite for sure. Take it slowly and one day at a time. Soon he will get use to going and you will appreciate the break you will receive. Hey Steph! When it comes out, you should watch Inside Out 2 with Sebastian. It does a beautiful job of showing how anxiety (the new emotion introduced) is really trying to help us and protect us. I’m also an anxious person when it comes to my routines and loved watching how they framed anxiety in positive way in the movie, and how it can be helpful. ❤ Thought I would share from one anxious sister to another! 😊

I'm not sure Sebastian is a morning person. He seemed a little cross at being woken up 😉. He knows where his food is. That's why he's rolling towards the wood. He's headed for the kitchen! Look at him sitting! Even though it was a hard decision, Stefanie, Geo and you made the right call in sending him to school. It is enriching his life and he's getting stronger. Even the way his feet he places his feet has improved. He's making progress with movement overall. He's doing great and it's because of Geo and you. It's cool seeing him doing a little head bopping. Some people need structure and routine. I'm glad you're recognizing that changes in routine aren't the end of the world and are doing things to cope. That is awesome! Congratulations - that shows wisdom. Now you can enjoy your time with Geo as your reward!

Sebastian is a total rock star! He’s playing the drums, singing, dancing-the perfect front man! Now we need a perfect name for the band! How about Sebastian and the Sillies! Has a ring to it, imo!! U both do a great job and r always so patient. I love love how u r constantly talking to him, asking him questions, getting him used to conversing! In my ICU patients who are sedated, paralyzed, medicated, I always come in to the room and speak to my patients just as if they were having a conversation with me. I tell them what time it is,the weather outside, even reading the funnies and horoscopes! I truly believe it helps encourage verbalization and really stimulates them! I’m a new subscriber but I’m really inspired by your family’s love and dedication to Sebastian!!! ❤🤘🏻🎸🥁
