You could do a chapter about Park Bom, her career was practically ruined because she brought ADHD medication into Korea and her agency kinda let knetz ripped her to shreds
@aelixa
@aelixa 8 ай бұрын
her agency tried to defend her but netizens and tabloids were just brutal. YG himself posted a statement defending Park Bom explicity. He said that 2NE1 girls were so well behaved, they don’t even like going to clubs (not like Big Bang). He explained that Park Bom was prescribed in the US with that specific medical drug and she needs it for her mental health He also told the story of Park Bom being a soccer athlete before she was a trainee. But then her close teammate died unexpectedly and that event gave her severe depression. She was serious about soccer and was even aiming to being a professional soccer player, but after her teammate’s death, she lost that dream. She lost purpose and direction with her life. Until she became a YG trainee, she finally found another purpose in her life through music. And it’s sad that the medication she needs to get better is being used to take away her music, her career. It was a sincere letter from YG, more honest than other agencies where they just give vague politically statements to “defend” their trainees.

He has a bone tumor and has been on painkillers which was probably the gateway, I also heard he had issues with insomnia (could be due to the chronic pain as bone tumor pain worsens at night) and one of the drugs he used is used to help people with insomnia. The drugs are largely downers/anaesthetics, except cocaine which he'd probably use to wake himself up. I theorize this is self-medicating that got addictive.

I saw Yoo Ah In first in the drama "chicago Typewriter" and I was flabbergasted the way he looked and I always thought that he is so different from all the korean actors I know, also, the thing that you mentioned that he is very versatile with his roles, I loved that that he doesn't do the 'same roles' again and again. When this news came out that he is been arrested for dr*g use, I was like 'tf?' Then I got to know the whole thing how one guy throws coffee at him. I didn't know what to think of him but there was this soft spot for him in me that was like, "there are people in the korean industry who have legit done way more crazy sh!t than this. For example, there is this old man in the industry who was accused of forcing himself on a minor I think but he still did made a comeback and acts. Kris Wu, I know he's in jail but there are still fans supporting him, seungri, he's in jail too but 3 years is too less for someone like him and all the guys in the burning sun scandal who were literally worse than him whose identity is not even known yet. Idk why they are bashing Yoo Ah In that much when it's like not so petty crime. I actually think he needs help. You never know what a person is going through until you really know them and that might be the case with yoo ah in. If knetz think doing dr*ugs is such a heinous crime, please do not be biased with other crimes too, bash them off too, do not be biased. And my last note is that I never knew he was a feminist. Anytime Stephanie talks about Song Hye Kyo, is me. I get emotional and fan girl at the same time. I hope he can get redemption. I’m an American, non Korean fan of his. And this breaks my heart

Don’t know if this will ever get to him and his team but I am a huge fan and appreciate the friend he has helping him. I am praying that he is able to bounce back and help those in Korea struggling with trauma that lead to addictions. I think he would be a great spokes person for recovery world wide.

I hope he gets the help he needs and comes back to the industry, he sounds like a rly nice dude with a lot of talent, it would be a shame if all that kindness and talent went to waste over some stupid drugs…
