I also talk about a story/case that has heavy on my mind and a lot of the times heart.
If you are ever feeling lonely while you eat - come take a seat and join me! I'll be here for you!

The no perfume rule is necessary for babies. When my sister had her baby my mom wore perfume and held her and a few days later my niece skin had broke out and had a bash rash where it would dry and peel off bc of the perfume. The doctors had said baby skin is very sensitive so it’s common for people not to wear perfume.

it’s crazy that the mom thought 1 week with no apology was sufficient punishment for ruining something so expensive. i once got grounded for a month bc i didn’t watch over my little brother and make sure he did his homework. the dad’s punishment is incredibly reasonable since it allows the daughter to truly see how much you actions can have consequences and at the same time makes her become more responsible.

my thoughts on the child free wedding: not every place is child friendly. there are stores that have age limits for a reason, I used to work at a couple of them, and I had several parents with children ranging in ages. a lot of them were infants. and I would have to tell them "I'm sorry, but your kid can't be in here." to which I would be yelled at "what do you mean?! it's a baby! they won't remember this!" and I agree. they might not, however, it's against the law to have certain items around children. not every space is a safe space for kids. but that's okay, because there are designated safe places. and A LOT of the world is space for kids bc they exist with adults. it's alright if a select few parties are kid free, adults need time to be adults.
@klane2004
@klane2004 Жыл бұрын
It's crazy to me that people get upset over a "no kids" wedding! Like, if you're against it just don't go??? My brother and SIL got married like a year ago and her own siblings under 18 and my kids, family, weren't allowed to come! The only kids there were THEIR actual kids, who were ring bearers. And they only got there right before the ceremony started. Weddings are stressful, not having your guests bringing kids just makes it waaayyy easier. I was in the wedding party but super happy that I didn't have to worry about my kids during the ceremony. She let everyone who wanted to go get their kids for the latter part of the reception, and they all had a great time dancing the night away. I had kids at my wedding, and it didn't bother me at all, but mine was way more low-key.. we literally got married in the woods with almost no decorations, no common wedding practices/stuff. I say to each their own. Get a sitter and have a fun date night with your S.O.! It's the couple's day, after-all.

look your story is different you work in areas that are not safe for kids to begin with and a wedding is not one of those places because not everyone is capable of finding/affording a baby sitter and not to mention trusting them if they go to a wedding your cousin/uncle/aunt/brother/sister are there if you need a bit of help besides aren't wedding loud anyways look idk about you but in our culture family are always welcome whether they leave their children or not

My 2 year old daughter took a stuffed animal from the store without us knowing it. I made her take it back and apologized. I asked the security guard to tell her she will go to jail if she does it again. She never steals again.

Okay second comment, but that last one hit a nerve. My oldest daughter got married in October. From the start of planning her wedding two years ago, she wanted her sister to be her Maid of honor. Tragically, we lost her sister in March of last year. At first she talked about postponing the wedding. I talked her out of that. (My daughter is gay and after the Roe v. Wade decision, we just aren't sure what the courts are going to attempt next.) Then she talked of just having a picture of her sister but still having her be the Maid of honor. I told her we could do that, but she still needed someone to actually BE a Maid of honor, because there is a lot that the Maid of honor does. I get it, she didn't want someone replacing her sister. It took forever to convince her but she finally asked her best friend. And it was a Lovely day. And yes, we still had the picture of our beautiful baby girl and made a special stand to place the bouquet in under her picture. So yes, when that "father" cancelled his daughter's flight, I got angry. You just NEVER know when it is the end. Our daughter was fine, until she wasn't. Everything happened so fast, we didn't have time to get to her. You NEVER take anything for granted. You never know what may happen. Sometimes even the best medical care can't tell you everything. The father was DEFINITELY the asshole in that one.

I'm so floored about the story about the niece ruining OP's 20,000 dollar coat! My parents would never in a million years let me ruin someone else's personal property let alone a family member's. Whenever I go back to Taiwan to visit relatives my dad always gives my uncle money so he can take care of me and not lose face for not paying for stuff and I have to be VERY very thankful/respectful even though technically it's my dad's money. I think the way it was resolved was really fair because there are consequences to actions.

My husband used to snore so loud, i honestly contemplated and made a mental list of the 439 favorite ways I'd kill him if it meant a full night's rest 😂. He knows the list, I recited it to him (he married a NYer... sass and threat of possible death is how I roll. He knows! I'm from Brooklyn, what can I say...plus no take-backs!) hahaha but I got him to do a sleep study and was told the extremely loud snoring was because he was stopping breathing so many times in a minute, the body creates an auto response to forcefully breathe consistently so you know... He is... actually breathing. Andrew, it sounds like you may have the same. There's now, how many saavy caring peeps before me saying- get a sleep study! That mask ensuring my love breathes easily all night, and the sweet sweet silence .... Sexiest thing ever. Many say they didn't know just how crappy and tired they felt all the time until they got diagnosed, started using a machine nightly and for the first time got actual rest. BTW forced constant chainsaw snoring means a titrating BI pap machine would be needed. Just means it's dual pressure- one for inhalation and a different pressure for exhalation. DU IT! (Your wife probably has a list 😂 ask her what # of ways to kill you she's at) LUV U GUYS!!!!!!!❤️

I kinda relate to the whole "no taking pictures of my baby or posting on social media" because I would like my baby's life to be private until they are old enough to understand social media and understand that they have a choice whether or not to be posted by myself or family members . If people don't know what my child looks like, then it just shows that they don't show up to hang out or at least visit to know my child . Also, I'm just very cautious about p33dos taking children's photos for horrible intentions . I do be paranoid like that .

Hey Stephanie, i think the mouth tape would be more dangerous to people who snores because maybe some have sleep apnea in which their air ways are blocked when asleep that's why they snore and they breath in the mouth. They could potentially choke if they cover their mouths. PS: please don't take this as medical advice. This is what I know. 35:50 time stamp btw - no perfume or scented deodorant can be necessary because I had an incident with my uncle and son. Long story short, when my son was 2 months or so, my uncle picked him up with soooooooo much cologne and my son freaked tf OUT! I was breastfeeding and he wouldn't eat from me for at least 2 hours, nobody could touch him other than me and he couldn't smell me after the bath we gave him and everything!!! He was crying and looking around (since newborn's sight is pretty bad for the first few months) he was in so much distress! Similar story: My youngest brother (22M) threw a fit and kicked a table where my 2-month old macbook rests. It flew and hit the wall, causing my macbook monitor glass to shatter. I cried so hard and had to replace my monitor for $600. My brother refused to pay and said it was my other sister that triggered him that caused the incident. I was SO MAD cos my brother has the money to pay for it as he has his own business but my father just tolerated him cos my brother threatened to commit suicide stating I was causing him stress and that I didn't care about his mental health and shit.

If someone is turned off by your normal smell... Y'all better get some kind of test bc if it happens all the time, you're probs related lmao.

@@queenofneverland9007 Yes, and that is such horrible advice to give anyone because if I were dating someone and they told me I stink (not because of jogging or something normal but just that I me myself stink), that would be the end of that relationship. If someone doesn't like how you smell, that's a strong indication you shouldn't be with them to begin with. You're not well matched.

people’s sense of smell/what they find attractive can also change if they go on/off birth control.
@klane2004
@klane2004 Жыл бұрын
Depending on whatever factors, one of the most important things in a a physical relationship is smell. If something is off with smell, there is something off with your chemistry. ESPECIALLY if you come off birth control, bc that's your body's way of saying "don't have kids with this person!". It's like caveman level stuff, for better or worse lol

That husband is a major jerk for putting his wife down instead of loving on her when she just had a child too. She’s focused on the child care right now instead of her looks. She’s not wrong for standing up for herself when he should’ve been more loving instead of saying “why don’t you lose weight!” When after giving birth she might not be the same size before. What’s his deal? He should’ve just never said anything and his words don’t help anyways, Good Lord! Also childish how he left to his friends and probably vented about how he thinks she was in the wrong for getting upset.

Observations are meant to be just that and remain in you're head... His wife isn't fkn blind from what she said. He knows exactly what he was doing and thought she'd keep taking it.... Little baby man had a tantrum and blamed her because he's a POS.?? Nice

Hi sooooooo in response to the newborn baby thing: I made a list and sent it to my family too. I really didnt want visitors but I was allowing them. I made the rules of no kissing, dont come if your sick, wash your hands, wear a mask and the perfume one (this is bc newborn skin is so sensitive, and my daughters was actually so bad when she was born) but I didnt want anything, just to show off my little creation (also she is my rainbow baby😂😂 butttt I dont think shes god or anything hahaha I do love her a ton though probably the same way I would’ve my original angel 👼 though) anyway thats just bc your alls response was slightly different than mine but the other extra stuff was so unnecessary and weird hahah

One of my cousins had the most sad "Meet the baby" events. The thing is we're a very family oriented culture so when a baby is born a few things happen. First EVERYONE meets the baby. Extended family and all. Then when all the meet and greets are done an aunt or two would stay behind and take care of baby and mom, when they inevitably have to go back to work another aunt shows up and it goes on for a while, momma and baby aren't alone for a few months. Well this one cousin was born on April fools, his father happened to be a real joker so when he ran in and shouted his baby was born no one believed him. "Real funny bro. Cool how he was born on april fools." sarcasm was all he got. He seemed bummed but maybe just because his joke didn't land. Well a couple weeks later everyone's like "Hey we haven't seen him or wife in a while. Isn't she due by now? Let's check up on them." To everyone's surprise THERE WAS AN ACTUAL BABY! Everyone apologized and still feel bad about it three decades later because of what the parents must've felt to have such a tradition for children being born but no one showing up for his firstborn for weeks.

The last one triggered me. If I got word that my partner got into an accident and he was HOSPITALIZED??? I would absolutely drop everything to be with him. She had a nervous breakdown they are obviously serious. At that point the father probably doesn't like the boyfriend or is just trying to tell the story in his favor. Yes she was a brides maid, whatever. She isn't the maid of honor. And the fact that he canceled it behind her back and she's 27. TWENTY FUCKING SEVEN??? No he is not only the asshole but immature and selfish. He most likely means the world to her. I hope she doesn't talk to her family after that ever again. They do not deserve her.
