You forgot one of the most important things about her. She inherited a rare genetic disorder, which made it very difficult for her to marry a typical husband. Apparently, her great-grandmother or grandmother suffered from the same illness. That might be one of the reasons why she chose the guy.

I definitely think BJ intended to marry a commoner from the start so she could build up her career without the distractions and sexist expectations that come with marrying into another rich family. She’s just way too smart to let her life be essentially dictated by in -laws and “familial duties”, which I’m sure she has seen happen to women in the chaebol realm many times before. It sucks that the commoner ended up being a dickhead. I know many commoner men would have literally bowed down to her and treated her with utmost respect if she chose to marry them instead. Ugh. Seriously she’s such a girl boss and I’m all for her 👏👏👏

100%. I learnt this through my ex narc abusive husband. When you are in the dating phase, above all other things, watch out to see how weak or strong minded they are. When an inconvenient situation arises, how do they respond? This here will save you time and heart break. A weak-minded individual will always be plagued by insecurities and revenge. This story made me like her a lot. I have never wanted to meet a celebrity before lol. I get that Jay probably had a lot of stress in his life from this relationship but still. I’m actually surprised he didn’t end up “missing.” That’s how I expected this story to end. In my experience it’s the smart people who recognize that they are dumb. As odd as that sounds.

You’re right at the end there. If u lack self awareness. You must lack other critical thinking skills. Just because you recognize ur short comings doesn’t mean you’re dumb it means you understand that there’s more you must learn. Which means that you’re capable of learning. Which makes you smart.

This is the thing, there is usually no men able to handle a more capable wife than him. You would see this everywhere, men become jealous and start cheating and abusing their spouses out of spite. Probably would happen to her regardless how nice the man she wanted to marry was from the start. As a woman you have to be very careful how you manage success in front of your husband

I get it must be tough to marry into a rich family that thinks you are dumb as rocks and not good enough but he still got accepted to a certain degree. All he had to do was support his wife and be a stay at home dad. Instead his ego inflated from all these opportunities that were given to him that he didn't earn. That is insane. And to become so mean to hit your pregnant wife and actively cheat...he needs a reality check. He was so jealous of her success that he was completely in his own world and not realize he had a good life. Good lord. But she is such a girl boss. Love it.

Actually, I think the point of that story literally is that there is no way for a woman to ever know what kind of a person she's going to get. It's always a game of lottery with men. Even the richest, smartest, most beautiful, most resourceful, most infuential most capable of women can't necessarily land a good man. I am pretty sure she was smart enough to do her research, but it just isn't enough. Your man can turn out to be a monster after a decade of happy marriage, and you just never know until shit hits the fan. This just as in: it's a valuable lesson for women who blame themselves for ending up married to an awful dude. There was nothing you could have done differently, because the blame is all his.

She knew every bit and just didn’t want to involve herself with marriage ever again. She didn’t much care if her personal life got screwed with massive scandals, maybe did that willingly so no one can see her as a source of marriage alliance. And then she could be as free and lucrative as a male in the society. She is definitely smart enough to tell who is dumb and who is smart, who is harmful and who is not. She could have pretty much seen the whole outcome play out when she chose a husband with a certain personality.

I 99% believe that she predicted it all. Like I think she might have scouted him as a target that was predictable and not too dangerous, but troublesome enough that it works as an excuse to never have to get married or even be in a relationship without looking strange/suspicious (I’ve heard in long term business, being married with kids is a sign of reliability and stability). This woman is so smart. Smart enough to be the first woman in her position in Korea. But she just fell into love? With the most unlikely candidate? And then proceeded to be engaged for 4 years and not have seen and responded to any red flags? (I mean if she did miss them I’m not victim blaming her I just don’t think she would have) And then still didn’t choose to get out sooner, when the public would eventually find out everything about their relationship anyway? Think about it: what did she really lose from this relationship if you take out “emotions”? No one will question her ability to produce heirs. Nor why she doesn’t get married to a rich man or a normal man. She will not be pressured into having kids since she already has some (heirs). She won’t have in-laws. She won’t have to defer to a husband. She won’t have to “raise” a husband who isn’t up to her level. She is still pretty much as rich as she was before. She is shown to have “overcome” emotions, and how levelheaded she can be no matter what. She didn’t lose her position. She isn’t in jail. She isn’t in an awkward marriage. Also, if she knew her husband even a little, I imagine she would realize that her efforts would not help him. When I heard he quit MIT to become VP, that was a setup for sure. How could any average person cope with that? It feels like she played his insecurities, but maybe I am putting too much faith in the girl boss of my dreams 😅

@@allluvin7977 I meant to keep my comment short but I had hoped that it wouldn’t sound like that is what I meant. But that isn’t what I meant. I 100% understand that regardless of your economic or political power you can still be abused. I also 100% understand that no matter how powerful or booksmart a person might be, they can still fall in love with the wrong person. And there is NO shame in being a victim nor is there in falling in love. (I’m not trying to perpetuate the idea that love is a “weak” or “female” emotion, which is bs for too many reasons). A victim is not responsible for what an abuser does to them. The abuser is responsible. An abuser can be from any economic status, gender, age, appearance, etc. If I believed that my statements might affect her in anyway, I would have phrased my words more carefully. I didn’t base my opinion on the fact that she is a female billionaire. I based it on my understanding of her as an individual and how many freaking revenge/girl-boss light novels and manga I have read
@chair508
@chair508 11 ай бұрын
In part due to how all the facts of the case come from the couple’s own retelling of their relationship (again, not saying that lack of evidence means a crime didn’t happen normally) and just an overall feeling of something not adding up. Surely I am oversimplifying it, but don’t you think there would have been other noticeable changes in her when she suddenly fell in love? No changes to facial expression? No change in makeup or fashion? No change in lifestyle? I mean, the other option is that media didn’t get to report on her life accurately enough or she genuinely only fell in love and nothing else changed at all.

She may not have expected that he would feel so entitled to her money and lifestyle but choosing him was no accident. I think she knew he wasn’t very bright which was important because he couldn’t even be groomed to sit in a high position at the company. If he has been groomable her family may have made her take a backseat to him.

I was wondering if you were ever going to do a video on her. She’s very…. intriguing and I have to be honest she is quite beautiful. I’ve heard that she is so smart and so good at the business the people were actually expecting her to takeover the company.

Yes, she is much better than her brother, but he gets to be chairman simply because he was born with a penis.
