Thank you Sensei Kesting I had a problem getting out of half guard as I am a Judo yellow belt, I was getting into good positions but had a problem putting my training partner in trouble, this works amazingly well, can't wait to try it in my newaza class

this was fun. I get the kimura from half pretty often (both bottom and top), but I hadn't seen that approach to freeing the other leg. I find that half guard is just ripe for submissions because people are so obsessively focused on passing or getting passed.

It takes a bit of faith, but if you drill it with good attention to detail then you'll find it works like magic

So I tried this last night, but wasn't able to get the kimura grip. I ended up just securing the arm with both of mine and rotating my body to parallel to his. This made him tap each time I practiced it. I blanked out at the part to get the kimura and just went with what felt good
