I almost cried during the fan talk loll, bc it’s true, we are so used to telling ourselves and other girls to justify our enthusiasm for things, or to not show our enthusiasm. It’s no shock that young people end up finding so much comfort on fandons. I was a die-hard fan of the Disney Channel Latam telenovela Violetta, it literally SHAPED me and i was so annoying about it, but I look back at it so fondly, JUST LET PEOPLE BE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THINGS, life is too short to pretend that we dont get excited over the things we’re passionate about.

After the day I had I just wanna say: to anyone who's ever been a victim of bullying / hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. Highly recommend Virgin River! I love the fall vibes, romance, and the drama of the show. I wouldn’t call it a drama but there are some plot points that give a little drama. Such a great show to watch on the weekends on a rainy day😊 I’m currently watching the new season!

One Direction formed my personality haha i remember they came to germany on their tour and nobody wanted to go with me. none of my friends were into them and so i decided to just go by myself. and i had the best time. that concert showed me that it's okay to do things on your own and i'm sure it's a big part of why i'm so indepented now. a few months after that concert i went to london by myself because i wanted to and my friends didn't. i do things on my own all the time now when nobody wants to come with because i don't want to miss the concert, movie, travel destination etc

I have always been a fangirl and some are more of phases but some stick with me so far and will stick with me forever. The most prominent is Disney. I've always loved Disney so much and it has played a huge role in who I am Other ones that will forever stick with me is: One Direction (first singer/band I was truly a fangirl of. I read all the fanfics and even tried writing my own) Taylor Swift (I was the same, die hard fan as a kid/preteen, fell off but still loved her, 1D took over, and then reconnected) Hunger Games (I read them before the first movie came out and they literally changed my life) Once Upon A Time (TV show. My best friend got me into them and them made such a mark on my life. This is the first show I was obsessed with and kept up with as it aired) Marvel (this didn't happen til we were all home during lockdown, but the movies changed my life) And honestly books and reading in general. I was always a huge reader, and have always loved reading, but at the end of high school/college I stopped reading for myself, but then a few years ago I really got back into it
