Steelers radio claimed that he's the most talented QB as a runner in the league, even more than Lamar. I think as he gets more comfortable in the offense, we will see that. We've already seen flashes; the fake to QB scamper against a good defense was very Lamar-like.

The NFL football graveyard is filled with rookie QBs who started in the NFL with bad teams and terrible coaches that killed their confidence, momentum and career. You could easily see the sparks of greatness in JF when in Chicago but when you're running for your life for 4 qtrs every week takes a toll. Then he goes to the Steelers Institute where he can finally become a student of the game. Coaching is everything.

When they finally fixed it, Chicago had already made up its mind on moving on. Honestly, financially it was the right move. They don’t have to pay a QB for at least 3 years. Fields is coming up next year.

I love how Shannon loves to continuously say “does he revert back to old habits in Chicago” as if he was rookie Peyton Manning throwing for 28 INTs or some shjt. Last year he was 16-9 and the year before he was 17-11. Wow. I bet he didn’t even watch Justin play, just running some narrative just like the rest of the talking heads. It’s so easy to tell that’s the case bc all you have to do is listen to him talk about Caitlin Clark. He’ll give you 30 mins to an hr worth of context on every single thing that happens to her. But with Justin it’s “revert back to Chicago”. I wish he realized just how impossible that would be. Pittsburgh would have to cut or bench their entire offense and Arthur Smith would have to start running a Tecmo Bowl style offense in order for him to “revert back to Chicago”. The man had DJ Moore for 1 season. That’s the full extent of his weapons for his career in Chicago. And in that 1 season DJ Moore went for 96 rec (career high) 1,364 yds (career high) and 8 tds (career high). But yeah Shannon, revert back to Chicago though right. Yeah okay. He should start actually watching more games and stay off that IG live.

Because in the playoffs against a chiefs team you can easily find yourself down by more than a score early. Pressure is higher down 10+, can't make a mistake there or it's double vs where the defense keeps them right there regardless of the mistakes. It isn't oh they can run it and win, they can't. They need the defense to much to bail them out, but now if fields is that guy he could bail them out. If he can that makes them dangerous against a chiefs team thats defense is great and offense is struggling but we know mahomes can save them.

I been said this. I said this LAST YEAR when the Steelers played Buffalo. They were a qb away from being a threat. I don't care if it's Mahomes, the best offense is a run game and long drives and keeping them off the field. And add that to a Great Defense, Pittsburgh is a LEGIT threat. Because at the end of the day, Justin Fields is an athlete. Honestly looking like the Seahawks from the past.

Lol Fields statistically playing almost identical to how he played the last two years with the Bears, except completion percentage higher so far and limiting the turnovers a bit. Averaging about 170 yds/game, with 2 td's in 3 games. QBR is almost identical to last year so far, and lower than 2022. He's always had the ability to make some "wow" plays. The Steelers defense has just been so good (haven't given up more than 10 points in a game yet) that they're 3-0. I'm happy that Fields is having success, but people are acting like he's playing so much better than he has in the past.

The Steelers defense in impressive, but they still have a low ceiling as a team. It's interesting how everyone says Mike Tomlin is a great coach and Doc Rivers is horrible, when they're literally the same coach in different sports. Both haven't won since 2008, but they always have competitive teams year in and year out, yet they underachieve in the playoffs.

Alex Brown rarely had anything positive to say about Fields, literally advocated for a new QB after the 1st game of the 23 season. You had all types of comments, some racist, some just dumb, but they kept blaming JF, seldom the horrible defense, mediocre players or bad coaching. I hope he continues to grow and succeed.
