The most frustrating aspect of DeBoer’s first season was his reluctance to make bold decisions. Despite Milroe struggling in several games, he never attempted a QB change, not even for a few drives, to evaluate other options. You can’t win with the way college football is right now with a RB masquerading as a QB.
@GoatedAtNFSАй бұрын
that’s how he has coached throughout his entire career except it doesn’t work in the SEC. he asks the QB to make NFL throws when 95% of the time you will not have a QB that is capable of doing that. he’s too QB oriented, doesn’t rely on the run game.

The media needs to stop gawking over Colorado. Yes, Deion has done a good job of turning Colorado from a winless program to one on the cusp of reaching 9 wins in two years. But there have been a handful of other coaches during that span that have been just as good, if not better than Deion in turning their respective programs around (i.e. Cignetti at Indiana, Clark Lea at Vanderbilt). What's also being ignored is that the Big 12 is significantly weaker than the three other P4 conferences. Colorado's biggest wins this season is beating unranked Baylor in OT and beating Cincinnati, both of which are unimpressive. Maybe they'll still find a way to sneak into the Big 12 championship game, but it shouldn't have been a shock to anyone outside of Boulder that they lost to a well-coached Kansas team on the road. Bama getting drubbed by this mediocre Oklahoma team was easily the biggest shock of the weekend.

The truth of the matter is when you put so much energy and vitriol and how horrible Colorado is, and you use terms like they are nothing, they are irrelevant. InIn this country, PAUL knew what he was doing. We are a country that loves drama. And when you can pick on the little guy it makes us feel tough. But when you laugh at a team and you talk about how horrible they are and then they show you wrong. You wanna shy away from those conversations. But ESPN, just like every other network understands that Deion is a marketing genius. So they brought up Colorado a lot to beat on them and then they all lost credibility. Because Colorado was winning. So yes, a lot of coaches have turned their organizations around. But the media wasn’t going after those organizations when they were down. The truth is, I think Colorado was being beat down in the media because they understood that NIL, transfer portal, and an NFL Hall of Famer is a perfect storm to disrupt the old system of college football . This is why they keep moving the goal post when it comes to Deion. They couldn’t beat them down, so now they’re trying to hurt his recruiting by saying he’s leaving to go to the NFL. Think about it he’s come out on numerous occasions saying that he’s staying in Colorado, but they’re still making these made up scenarios of him going to Dallas or him going to Las Vegas. Do you ever ask yourself why? It’s because it’s a concerted effort to try and shame this man’s name. Not so much because they hate him, but it’s because of how much they hate change. And he’s up ending college football. You know it’s a copycat league so other colleges are going to try and court golden jackets to come work for them now. Which means the old regime, the old legacy, that’s all gone. And you know in this country, we don’t like to get rid of the old way of doing things.

The fact that only one man (Nick Saban) can turn it around says a lot about how dependent people are. What's he supposed to do come back and coach till he's 90? At some point have to move on.

Milroe has regressed as a passer. He can’t read a defense if his like depended on it

It pains ESPN to see one of there poster boy teams officially eliminated from the playoffs before it even starts 🤣

As an alabama fan, the play calling was atrocious for starters. O line couldn't block a group of girl scouts. Defense is Swiss cheese. We don't even deserve to finish out the season let alone be ranked as high as 13

Possible NIL IDEA DRONE SHOT of the Mayham on the field after the game and selling them as posters!!!

I don’t blame the Alabama coach for this loss. I think the whole NIL situation is destroying the college football that we all love.

He's over his head in the SEC. In the SEC, You got to bring your A game all the time, not one or two games in the pac12

Alabama didn't score a touchdown so ain't no way Colorado lost is worse and Alabama got the ball ran on them the same way but by a Quarterback

So Alabama just LET OU beat them ? Whatever . This is what OU was supposed to look like all season, no WRs and the OC had to be fired just a few weeks ago, he was the problem. Now look at OU. Co oc Joe Jon took over and beat Bama in his like 3rd week. He deserves credit. The defense deserves credit. This new OC kept OUs offense on the field fkr the last 6:50 of the game. Bama's offense didn't see the field again That was a classic run the ball, with good defense type of game.

I’m a soonerfan, I loved the control we had the whole game, I always cheer for whoever is playing against bama, but even I could see that Milroe did not look like Milroe. I seen him having issues even trying to run out of the pocket and it looked like he was going down easy with small amount of contact. I have been trying to find out if he was fighting an injury or sick or something. He didn’t look like the athlete that everyone knows he is. Just looked off.

True and equitable competitive college football died many years ago. What you have now is a game played mostly off the field and you know exactly what I mean. Very very few people will ever witness a real college football contest. Sure, there are a few remaining but it seems just by chance. The players, coaches, fans, commentators, officials, and the like need a level playing field and not one dictated by financial gain and power. Are people afraid of what makes you and I more alike than different? I think so. And for the folks mainly interested in the dollar signs instead of yard markers, well, it will benefit you also.

Colorado was more disappointing to me because I did not think Alabama had a chance of winning the championship this year. I at least felt like Colorado had a chance of making it to the playoffs and because they took this loss to Kansas now I think that playoff hope is out of reach so that’s why I choose them.
