You have to think of these guys as assets/brands/companies, which people have invested a lot of time and money into, you can't just supplant a brand like LeBron overnight, and a lot of different tactics are used. Obviously what you do on the court is what matters and is what can make or break your brand, but in terms of the message that's put out, public perception, how that leaks into voting for certain awards, how FA or trade decisions are viewed, all of that is like a separate war game altogether.

The man came in 6’9” 190 and no one thought much of him other than likely with what the numbers say, a bust project. He knew little English and moved over here initially without family. He worked on everything; his body, his English to communicate with fans and teammates, his game, and who he was as a man. If his father the late great Charles could see his Most Improved Player, 2x MVP, All-Star game MVP, DPOY, Champion, and Finals MVP; he would shed these tears of joy with his son and be there for the greatest growing of an athlete in basketball history. 🎤

Bucks didn’t have a chance against healthy Nets. KD came within a fraction of an inch of beating them by himself. Harden wasn’t even 50%.
