All credit to the athletes on this platform because without them, there is no drama, no theater, no stories to wax poetic upon. @@k-way8471 yeah, they have the right to ask for a trade, but there is a difference between asking for one and demanding one though. Like I know they were mostly focusing on KD (who did sign a new multi-year contract just a year ago) asking for a trade, but the best recent example, imo, is James Harden and how he forced his way out of Houston. I get wanting to get out of a place and find a better work environment, however, I also get honoring a contract to do the best I’m being paid to do, even if the situation isn’t what I originally signed up for. To me it just means I need to sign shorter contracts so I can always re-evaluate (like Lebron does). Yeah, it can mean less money and long term security, but if I’m doing my job both of those will always be there in the end.

Steven A explains his reasons so perfectly where there is no misunderstanding. Props to him. I use to get annoyed by him but I appreciate how he gets on people getting in their own way regardless of their skin color.

The only problem I have is : that most of the players he named load mange’s not just kawhi . Dude has issues with his knee prior to the acl tear . So he was doing the best he could to keep it from getting injury unfortunately he still got hurt . Dude was hurt in his 2019 title run . But played through it . Kawhi had only been gone for one full year . He had an Surgey in July 2021 it’s only September 2022. 14 months he’s not playing because the season doesn’t start until the end of next month . Soo.. stop the cap

This is why I never understood why some black people would call Stephen A. an "Uncle Tom" or a sellout. People that say that about him obviously don't watch First Take on a consistent basis. From his "Quite Frankly" days until now, Stephen A. has OBJECTIVELY spoken in defense of not only black athletes, but black people in general. Furthermore, I respect him because he is fair and objective. He gets a lot of pressure from black folks to be a certain way, talk a certain way, and to have a certain perspective on his platform because they do see the power and influence that he has. Despite that pressure, he still goes on air and gives his opinion from a place of authenticity and objectiveness. His desire for black people to rise and win will not stop him from calling black people out when he feels like they're in the wrong on something. I don't agree with his delivery on things sometimes, but this dude is measured, honest, authentic, caring, responsible, talented, intelligent, relatable, trustworthy, and empathetic (to a certain extent). Last thing, one thing that doesn't really get talked about is the fact that he often seems to know a little more on a situation than what he is reporting. It's the stuff that he doesn't share on air that should let you know that that's another way of him looking out for people. If it doesn't have to do with your sport life, or you tell him that something is off the record, then you can trust that that information will remain private. He is the opposite of a sellout. He is the opposite of an Uncle Tom.

It’s different but Lebron’s intent was to create what KD & the warriors created
@tcincali96422 жыл бұрын
It is different LeBron recruited Bosh. Convinced Wade to stay because Wade admitted he was going to Chicago with Rose. Bron had a league wide free agent meeting. Warriors went after KD and sold him on what they had and how he fit. Both made moves they’re well within their right to do. One recruited players and the other was recruited
