Benavidez can KO anyone below 175 and all he has to do is catch Canelo to take him out? That's one casual take after another. Benavidez isn't even a one punch KO guy and his only notable win is going the distance with one of Canelo's leftovers. Plant who's not even a big puncher was outpointing Benavidez for the first half of the fight and had him thinking twice about coming forward until he started gassing. And Benavidez was dropped by gatekeeper Gavril in a fight that ended in a split decision. Canelo's the one who dominated every fight at 168 and has the proven iron chin. The criticism is especially ridiculous when it was team Benavidez who rejected a Plant unification saying he needed more time and dumped his belt twice without facing his mandatories Callum Smith and Yildirim, but people are somehow complaining about Canelo who went above and beyond unifying all the belts and so far has done everything he's supposed to.

And lucky to escape with a SD in that fight. You can tell Benavidez looks bothered when he gets hit flush. Plant who's not even a big puncher had Benavidez thinking twice about coming forward throughout the first half of the fight and was outpointing him until he started gassing.

Shall I say, you're a casual lol. Canelo took the next level risks including Bivol at 175 along with all the fights these two ducked out on. Andrade never fought a champ including ducking Mell and Lara, and rejected mandatory title shots in each division he competed in including Canelo at 168. Benavidez hid behind his manager Sampson who publicly ducked a Plant unification, gave up his belt twice without fighting his mandatories Callum Smith and Yildirim and ducked another title shot at 175. Canelo took all the fights spent years ducking plus Saunders within a year for undisputed then moved up to face Bivol at 175 in the division Benavidez refused to compete in despite his size. Do you see Benavidez trying to upstage Canelo by fighting Bivol? Nope, instead he's fighting a guy who's never fought or beat a champ even in the lower divisions.
