The injury Embiid sustained last year will never go away, just as the one that came before it on the same knee never went away. The first likely enabled the second. With the meniscus tear, they're removing the torn portions each time. He is permanently injured for the rest of his life. And yes, if the 76ers intend to use him, there is no possibility that they can do it without limiting his minutes. This is not a matter of preventing injury. It is a matter of working around permanent injury. And so they have to choose which minutes he plays, because his body will never be able to handle what it used to. That cushioning in his knee is gone and will never come back.

A team has to spend their salary cap....and if he's injured than he's injured....and the nba makes more money when he's healthier and able to play more games,so if this means he plays 60 games as apposed to being injured an playing 30, than it works..
@drewmeyer9679Ай бұрын
You know who else had a bunch on injuries and still played AI, Kobe, MJ, etc. Keep Doggy he keeps it real.

it's time to start paying NBA players based on hours played - then we'll see how much "load mgmt" they want

George Paul is not a superstar. Why give him a max.
@Smartkid2387Ай бұрын
For Embiid to flat out say I’m not playing back to back is ridiculous. You miss games because you’re injured not because you think it’s too hard. Is he giving back money from his salary for those games missed?

Joel Embiid will choke again in playoff

I thought the league wasn’t going to allow players to not play if they’re healthy. They’re pre planning days off for them. Doesn’t seem right.
@phillycezaarr9963Ай бұрын
Idk what shaq is talking bout, Embiid is one of the most physical players in the league today. He plays out of the post. In today’s game where it’s not that physical too but he is physical compared to the rest of the league.

I'm waiting for Embiid to crash out in the 1st round. 😅

Why?

@@kaysheye7784 Because he cried and bitched his way to an MVP award even though Jokić was the more deserving candidate.

Kawhi was managing his injuries all these years. Embid says he might not play back to backs n yall act like he been ducking action. He trying win a ring yall… be on Embid gat

The “nothing left to prove but to win a chip” argument is asinine. He has EVERYTHING to prove. Always a victim, always demanding accolades and proclamations of his “greatness” but WHAT. HAVE. YOU. EVER. DONE?
@sinsoreshippromotesconform8218Ай бұрын
You’re crying his goal is winning a championship instead of catering to your feelings. You’re the victim.
@ijayrizzy3116Ай бұрын
Where have I seen this before? Oh yea, the Clippers. Sixers are making the same mistakes giving preferential treatment to players that are choke prone and undeserving. They will not win a 🏆. You just got over the “trust the process“ and you still have Tobias Harris on your roster.
@youngtakatravyoungАй бұрын
So he doesn’t need to talk about Kawhi anymore
@andrewmbogoh1136Ай бұрын
Embid gets criticized for not beinh healthy coem post season so it makes sense for the team to have a plan to save him for that period. Having said that Load Managemnt has't worked well for Kawhi so there's no reason to believe Embiid won't get injured anyway in the games he does play.
@MichaelSmith-fp3onАй бұрын
It’s in the BEST INTEREST of the 76rs to rest Embid. PERIOD
@cosmicwarrior5217Ай бұрын
This is what separates players like MJ and Kobe, from the rest. The winning mentality, willingness to do whatever it takes to win, no matter the cost. Most people don’t have that in them, and I think Embiid is someone who does not have that in him 🤷🏻♂️
