I don't know what side of the ethnic pool you are on but go to urban community and call someone the N word, go to Mexico and call them wetbacks, go to Puerto Rico and call them spics, then you will learn how hurtful some words are to some cultures...Now, depending on your ethnicity, you might say "its just a word" but brother some words are weapons...Im not saying Myles was right for swinging the helmet because he could have caused real damage but i am saying something was SAID to get him to that stage. Quentin Guillory I’m white and I have no privilege and if they are handing it out where do I get it. I’ve been pulled over by the town over when I was a kid because they knew my face and they knew I was a problem because before that I got busted for a marijuana charge and steroids (weird mix...I know) but they literally pulled me over because they KNEW MY FACE and they were wondering what I was doing in the town over???? Ive been pulled out of the car for no friggen reason, searching my car for no reason. Asking me ridiculous questions for no reason. So I don’t know about this white privalege horseshit that black people always bringing up but I know one thing, you sound like pussies always bringing up the WHITE MAN. Stand up for yourself bro. Quinten Guillory Absolutely ridiculous, the point is Garrett actually ended up beating him in the head with his helmet, and then lies about a “racial slur” the next day, but the media will run with it because it’s an unverifiable he said/she said even though he’s obviously lying. He not only smacked him in the head with his own helmet and attempted character assassination, but he can play again next year like none of that was a big deal to begin with. Where can I get that kind of priviledge?
@67buick
@67buick 4 жыл бұрын
Quentin Guillory Garrett’s offense was bigger than Rudolph’s. Rudolph should’ve got suspended. He escalated the situation. But that still doesn’t give Garrett the right to use a weapon against him. If Garrett gives him a two piece he gets a couple games, Rudolph looks bad and life moves on. But he decided to turn a helmet into a weapon and in that instant he turned into the villain in this situation. It’s that simple

“The Race Card” is the most powerful term white supremacists have ever come up with. In reality, most black people get anxious when mentioning racism. Because historically, America has always dismissed racism. Black people have only ever been believed in this country, when they have VIDEO evidence. Otherwise, they get dismissed for “playing the race card.” Because racism doesn’t exist to white Americans unless it’s a black person being racist to a white person

What we don’t know: what was said and what wasn’t said. What we do know: he waited until a confidential meeting to make this accusation under the pretense that nobody outside that room would find out. Coincidentally, that room contained the people he was appealing to. To let that cast doubt on his allegation is totally reasonable. Every weekend in Europe, fans and players hurl racial slurs in soccer matches towards black players. The players have kicked the ball into the stands, they have told the referee right away and they tell their teammates, managers, etc and the press IMMEDIATELY.

My issue with this stance is that when it comes to black peoples and especially the men, the benefit of doubt is never given. Double standards. Worth that said I’m skeptical but I can’t just deny this. And I’m a steeler fan so I have both horses in the race (no pun intended l)
