Stephen Amell is a cool dude, I started watching the show because of him, after the second episode it turned out to be a great interesting show. I followed the whole thing now. Arrow is one of those superheroes that are more human - like, none superpowers which i love since is more credible and realistic to a normal person's life style.

Yeah i'm not really a DC fan, but I can see they brought in tons of villains, content etc in season 1. I also hope that they make 5 seasons of arrow and make it well because right now its the only DC cinematic content I enjoy. Im afraid that they will start to milk a dead cow, so to speak towards the end just because of the shear amount of content their using. Again, im not a DC fan so for all I know there could be tons and tons more content I just hope they don't end up reusing plots/villains/characters etc.

I actually think they brought in way too many characters for season 2. Deathstroke and Brother Blood would have been enough, but they've added Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins as well. They even hinted Suicide Squad will be making an appearance. And it looks like they're saving Merlyn for a potential season 3.

Well Ra's Al Ghul had to appear one way or the another plus they only mentioned him - Atm i am by far more interested in Deathstroke and Brother Blood , but with deathstroke i there should be a Batman :D

I recently started to watch Smallville and was surprised to see Justin Hartley play Ollie Queen. I liked him as Ollie Queen but I am glad that the show's makers went with Stephen Amell who personifies the Green Arrow. Just love his action scenes and playboy billionaire scenes. Don't know about that wig on the Island but I can overlook that. Hartley was a good 'young' Arrow in Smallville. Stephen is just perfect as the now Green Arrow. Love the show. Love so many characters in the show. I do hope the writers and creatives continue to impress and the show gets extended past 5 years. Just like my other favourite show Supernatural. What a great success story!

Looking back on this interview, now with Arrow in season 6, nearly everything the interviewer asked Stephen Amell has come to fruition. Arrow has served as the first of now four CW superhero series including The Flash, Supergirl, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Though The Flash has recently had higher ratings, all four series are expected to be renewed for the 2018-2019 schedule. Several DC comics heroes and villains have appeared on Arrow, and even returned for multiple arcs. Though it's been a bit disappointing to hear that DC has decided to keep their Arrow-verse TV series separate from their movie franchise, it's understandable as to why that decision was made.

Stark is the flip side personality wise, he is almost antihero at times and does not use the secret id. His attitude is more come after me if you dare. For Years! I have been dead set against DC Comics. I grew up on Marvel, and that's where I planned on sticking with till the day I died. The only DC movie I ever saw that I liked was Superman and that was because Christopher Reeve IS Superman. I saw the Batman movies and I was like, cool, but Marvel does it way better. They're kicking ass on movies and comics. Then Agents of shield happened and so did Agent Carter, and now Netflix. They are conquering all. I watched Smallville and I didn't like it at all, so when Arrow was announced I wasn't thrilled at all. Then I finally watched it and I was hooked instantly. Arrow and Flash are my favorite things on Tv right now. I am slowly growing to appreciate DC more. Man of Steel though kinda sucked for me though...so we'll see.

Why I think that this version of Arrow will be part of the Justice League movie: 1) Arrow is not called 'The Green Arrow' as he normally is called in the comics/video games etc. I think this is so he does not clash with The Green Lantern in the event of JL movie. 2) The CW is co-owned by Warner Bros. so it would make sense that they would communicate with the movie department at WB as WB is the home for all DC movies past present and near future. 3) The amount of heroes and story arcs they would need to introduce for a JL movie would be too much, Arrow and The Flash are already coming to TV and it's the perfect medium for a fast turn around on characters and story (12 months = 18hours of story on TV, 2 years =2hr30min of story on movie). 4) 4:30-5:30 on this interview Stephen talks about DC allowing them to use more characters based of the show's success (probably referring to Flash), and with a Flash movie being released by WB in 2016, why would they allow Barry Allen (before he becomes the Flash) to appear on a TV show on a network that WB co-owns?! 5) References to Coast city where Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) lives have been made as Amell says, it's been no secret that WB are looking to either reboot or re-work the Green Lantern after it failed miserably, another hero that's part of the JL roster. 6)Man of Steel went more along the Sci-Fi route than Superhero route with it's routed realism, and one of the themes in the movie is how would people react - their world would be turned upside down and it would also switch up this show as well! Imagine if Arrow is set before Man of Steel and one of the season finale's in the lead up to Batman Vs. Superman is Felicity, Dig and Arrow in the Arrow Cave and General Zod's "You Are Not Alone" message starts playing? I've got loads more ideas why but I think I've rambled on long enough for now, if anyone agrees and has anymore ideas lemme know :)

I think the show is called 'Arrow' simply to appeal to a larger audience. 'Green Arrow' would sound too much like a comic book. But no doubt they will start calling him Green Arrow at some point (they've already made the reference a few times), certainly for any Justice League movie. Also, Queen brushed the name Green Arrow aside as being "lame" only because he wants to keep his identity secret.

This show is BRILLIANT, another crime drama with vigilantes, I watch this show all the time, Christopher Nolan's batman gave warner bros the idea for this show, amells performance as the masked archer is amazing. An Australian man named Matt Nable is gonna play ras al ghul, we'll finally see him on screen in October, Matt is the 2nd man to play ras al ghul for live action.

I was reading this and uptill 30% I was like Damn this guy is awesome then... You went downhill, first of all Nolan hasn't left DC, neither has he ever been "part" of it. Christopher Nolan was the one to call the shots wether or not his interpritation was to be in the Justice League, and I quote "Well, my interpritation of Batman doesn't really fit in with people who can fly and bend steel so I don't see this Batman in those kind of movies" also people expect to much of Nolan "Nolan to be the grandfather of Dc Cinematics" what the hell is up with that... Nolan produced Man Of Steel, yes he's credited but the only stuff (that you can count) that he did is march to the office and tell them this great idea that David Goyer has about a new Superman and that they are gonna make this movie or he's not doing Dark Knight Rises. And the second thing is just reading the script and give his own opinions. He said himself that he shouldn't have been credited since he didn't do anything at all. Also Christian Bale didn't want to be Batman anymore out of respect for Nolan. There was never to be a third Batman movie, they pressured Nolan into making it because they're money whores. And with the success of the Dark Knight trilogy only an idiot wouldn't draw inspiration from the franchise, and Arkham Origins doesn't have the Rise soundtrack at all, there are such things called "Copyright". Sure I don't think it would be a problem for them to get permission but no, it's an original soundtrack. Sure I can agree that the soundtrack is familiar compared to the Rises soundtrack but it is not the same. Also Dc didn't replace Nolan/Bale, Nolan didn't want to do another Batman he has other projects you know? He's got several movies that he wants to do, he's a director not a Batman nr.1 fan. And no, Stephen Amell is probably not going to be in the Justice League movies (I want that but it's not going to happen), why you may ask? Well because there's a big difference between the DC Tv Universe and the Cinematic Universe, Warner Bro's wouldn't want to cross these, firstly because of the big, BIG paper work, if anything the introducement of Flash to the TV Universe reduces the chances of Flash being in a Justice League movie, NOTE I said reduces not that he's not gonna be in it. Berlanti, Guggenheim and Kreisberg have created a pretty good DC universe here, so why shouldn't DC and WB draw from it? Bilal Zafar Marvel did it because they planned it, they didn't introduce Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D until after The Avengers, that's 5 Movies. DC/WB made Arrow a seperate show just like Smallville, and the creators of the show have said "We're gradually making a universe where the Superman from MOS could exist and if they ever want to include our universe it's possible, but we're doing our own thing and the Movies are doing their thing." You're right tho, there's no reason why they couldn't co-exist, it's just that they'd have to do alot of paper work, just because they own a character and it's basically the same Company that makes both things doesn't mean there won't be paper work, and companies are really lazy, now there'll also be legal issues, and with the introduction of "Harley Quinn" there might be problems and Deathstroke too. Those are character that maybe the Movies would like to do differently but can't now because of the TV show. Trust me, I would love nothing else than Amell for the cinematic Movies, I just don't see it happening as the chances are slim.

Man, good points made there to be honest =/ I suppose the TV shows can borrow off each other (as Harley was created for the animated series - you probably already know that), but yeah I forgot all about that quote, about the movies being their own things =/ Even Amell wants to be in the movies, but yeah, it would be too much of a hassle (still hope there is a chance he can be in it) :( The cinematic universe is annoying me even more now, now that Snyder announced that Batman is going to be the one Supes fights in the new movie! I mean, wtf?! Snyder said Batman was the perfect one to fight after Zod, but what the hell - he isn't a villain! What about Brainiac or Parasite or Metallo or Luthor?! WHY BATMAN?! Bilal Zafar exactly man...marvel is doing a million times better job than DC..and the only reason for marvel's success over DC is that marvel sticks to the actors who portray a particular role till the end of their plans unlike DC who keep changing changing the good actors and piss off fans...bale did such a great job and being very honest we all were looking forward to see bale and cavil on one screen and now this Affleck stuff.....DC doesn't know how to choose for actors...DC's golden moment was with dark knight triology and THANKS TO NOLAN for that he changed the way people looked at batman...thanks to Nolan who gave batman a military grade suit ( unlike previous movies where bats used to wear cotton dress or leather crap ) and all the game universe and comics are now following it...now Nolan has left DC just coz DC decided to accept a clown for batman's role...DC is dead ...I have no hopes for it...look how unplanned and messed up it all appears to be...no foresightedness...no good plans...no good villains that's why they picking up on batman to be one like you said....DC is doomed even when DC has better superheroes with deep and intense storylines which only a person with brain can understand and still DC looks like shit to me now coz they cannot pull it up nicely on big screen like Nolan did for batman....ZACK SNYDER YOU ARE FUCKING UP DC !!!!!!!

What I would like to know is... Oliver in the show has constant flash backs to his time on the island, and in the process his hair grows linger and he has a different personality and so on. But how did they film that? Did they film all of the island scenes before hand all at once? Or are they filming the island scenes at the same time, and they put a wig on Stephen? If anyone could tell me that would me amazing if you were to reply.

its a wig duh. and u can see that by the frayed hairs in the back... its kind of a bad wig at that... But yes its a wig. And from what i read in an interview is that he filmed the show 7 days str8 2 days off then 7 days until to complete the 20 something episodes

They film the island scenes during the same production schedule each week. They film for 8 days per episode, depending on the number of scenes for the flash backs each week they spend 1-2 days per the 8 days for minimal island stuff maybe 3-4 if it is island heavy. They put him in a wig for those scenes. They get the first 10 eps filmed before ep 1 airs, they don't even have all the scripts written when the season starts, so there is no way they could even film all the island stuff first then shoot the "present" day after.

Could NOT wait for this show to start but when it did I did not like him at all or any of the rest of the cast for that matter. I couldn't get into it. But after I a year or so I am finally getting into it. I would like to see him with the GA beard but it seems they have gone down the more "realistic" route and obliviously someone with that beard would stand out in a line up.

Really well thought out questions even if the sound quality from his end wasn't so good at least we heard Stephen's answers as clear as a bell. I started watching it because I was watching The legends of tomorrow..and saw him on it..was hooked on the show ..but I’m still watching Legends..first time I ever saw Stephen Amell, and think he’s a great actor..I liked all the actors that are in the show, some I’ve seen on other shows..like Brandon Routh and John Noble...and others..all great actors..

I've been trying to figue out now for some time who the real oliver queen is. Is it the dark vigilante or the spoiled and privileged playboy? Much like Batman is the true persona and bruce wayne is the mask, suit, and attitude that he perpetuates. Which one is oliver's true self and what is the persona he puts on. I'd love to ask stephen amell this in person some day.

they pitched an Aquaman series with Justin Hartly as Aquaman and it pretty much went the same rout of WW. A Pilot was made and it never aired but was on iTunes for a while. It was... not very good. if they do put GA in the Justice League movie i doubt it would be Stephen playing Ollie, unfortunately. i love this show, i'm big GA fan and i can't wait for the Flash to come out.

I disliked the green arrow until i watched Arrow. The goatee is horrendous and the green arrow hat is just plain ugly. Didn't help that he looked 40 either. Stephen amell and the directors made green arrow awesome and so grounded, like it's possible that anyone can be a hero/vigilante. Amazing show.

What's up with the audio of the interviewer? It's echoy and completely different from Stephen Amell's? Was it not miced properly or a technical malfunction? Just wondering, interesting interview and I agree with the comments below. 10 seasons might be cool, but I'd worry about it dragging on more into his vigilante lifestyle and go beyond the show being about him in general. 5 seasons, 1 year on each island sounds more reasonable. They'd have to have a really good plot with as many twists and unexpected turns as the latest shows for it to work for 10 seasons.

Where is the fantasy element? I'm all for making it more realistic but I like the fantasy. I like that there are meta-humans, I like that there are some people that posses supernatural abilities like in Smallville. I didn't like the fact that Back Carney had hand-held sonic boom device instead of the meta-human ability she has in the comics. Again I'm cool with making it more realistic but I prefer the fantasy element.

There's no telling what they're gonna do with that now that they've brought in the Mirakuru. I'm with you, though. Especially since a defining factor of the Green Arrow is sort of how he deals with all these super powered baddies that he comes across. Even more so since he doesn't have them come up as often as someone, say for example Batman, who has a similar skill set but has to face down those meta-humans and worse much more often.
