Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed �The Colbert Report,� which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced ko_l_b__r, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

I seriously don't know what's the problem. Sure, the government went to far by threatening to euthanise their dogs, but then again, you have to abide by the laws of the country you are staying in. Both Australia and NZ have really strict quarantine laws, about food, plant products, animal products etc. Ever wonder why Australia is completely free of rabies? Because of Quarantine. I'm actually glad that Johnny and Amber were held accountable because it shows that even celebrities must follow the law. Fast-forward: It is now 6 years later, 2022. Depp and Heard had acrimoniously divorced in 2016, not long after this trip, and Heard was awarded $7million. Then, in 2022 Depp won a defamation suit resulting in Heard owing him $8+ million. Now American govt entities are allegedly working with Australian govt entities to bring Heard to justice for her perjury in this matter. In the defamation trial it came out in witness testimony she had forced staff to lie and take the blame for this matter, even threatening one staff member, "Hope nothing happens to your job" if he didn't comply with her wishes. Heard may in fact end up serving a sentence in Australia for this, if even just community service in some form. But more seriously, she may get in trouble with the Australian govt for glassing, as it was also brought to light during the trial that at some point in this visit Heard threw heavy vodka bottles at Depp, one of which allegedly shattered and severed his fingertip, which was surgically reattached. She is also under investigation in the UK for lying under oath there, too. Her lies and violent behavior have caught up with her.

it's just like us as Americans to enter a foreign country have completely no consideration for their rules and still have a pissy attitude while apologizing for the mistake or rather for breaking foreign law. especially when the reasons that be are very understandable & logical. I guess your personal happiness and desires are more important than maintaining the current state of the country. I apologize to Australia for being such a self centered & greedy country. if an Australian broke a law like that in the US we'd would be crucifying them. to end my rant I really want to express my live for this show. I always see in the comments people getting angry over Colbert's leftist mannerisms but weather he is or is not a liberal or Republican makes no difference to me. this show is & will always be great.

Why are people forgetting the part about Amber Heard lying on legal documents? Who gives a flying fuck that their dogs were healthy, they lied on legal documents and laws are laws. If you broke them going into another country, you pay the price no matter if you're Johnny No Name or Johnny Has Been Depp and Amber I Married him for the Money Heard? Seriously.
