I enjoyed this thank you! Interesting take on why the British didn't hang Washington and the signers of the DOC though. I'm thinking it was less, " the bonds of the mother country and her erring colonial children were still too strong." and more that the British lost the war. Rather hard to hang men who are no longer your subjects.
