There is something about Steph that the "dry" stats won't show. For instance his threes! The way he creates space, the convincing, sometimes humiliating fakes, the distance, the speed of his hands, the high arch, the nothing-but-net (so many times), the important moments, it is so much more than just 3 points, it's ART! It gets his teammates excited and gives the team confidence. It hypes up the all the people in the stadium (except the haters of course) ... and that is only one of his unique skills! We are watching a true legend!

Great comment. This comment is a work of art and these things need to be said about Steph! I honestly sit here and watch year after year, see him come out year after year ( minus is nervous 21/22 season due to the record and that stress during the regular season) and continue to somehow look better and better and more honed in in various ways, and I find it hard to resist the urge to say/ask myself “how isNT this dude the best basketball player I’ve ever seen?” You know what I mean? I’m NOT trying to be hyperbolic, I get that there is like this invisible wall between Stephs ascension among the greats and the list of potential goats, but should there be? Why does there have to be!? I gotta admit that to me? That feels like the last and final barrier Steph is going to knock down along his way to the history books of legendary men. He has already overcome so many doubters, literlaly at every level, proven to every level that his size or lack of this, lack of that, doesn’t hold him back in the slightest. I believe the last doubt he was overcome is the stereotypical belief that no matter HOW much he wins or how well he plays or impacts winning or how great his stats are, he just isn’t allowed into the pantheon on the potential GOATS because…of his size? Play style? Personally? Cute face lol!?! Whatever it is that is at the core of everyone’s stomach, their gut, that makes them brag and boast about Steph ONLY until someone mentions his standing all time, I think Steph is going to keep ascending and breaking our minds with his play until he overcomes even THAT. He’s going to beat out our core beliefs that there is no way he can be the best ever, and that might end up the most insane thing EVER. I know Jordan and LeBron and others were better at some things. Defense for one, right? But I think if we take every little skill and leadership and team and individual detail into account? Idk this man might come out on top one day OR at least end up as many peoples goat as say, Kobe is today.

DuDE! Yes! That’s what I’m saying! Since the 2022 finals I’ve been wondering to myslef “wait…doesn’t this dude HAVE to be in the goat debate? I’ve never seen anyone this good “ and now it looks like he is beginning another possibly even BETTER season? Wtf!!? I mean efficiency combined with volume is the sign of greatness rifgt? And he is THE master of that. No one else scores 30 a game on his type of true shooting except maybe Durant for half of an injured seaosn lol. And then curry is 1000 times the leader he is, he’s so selfless, but also so confident, makes the entire team 10000 times better, he’s the GOAT dude!

@@schuylersavage276 Defense matters bro. Those guys in the GOAT debate have made at least six All-Defensive Teams. Not to mention, Curry needs more Finals MVPs. Curry will always be GOATED in my opinion on how he changed the game.

@@taygoated313 defense does matter! And those other goats are better individual defenders But here’s the thing. Basketball isn’t really about judging offense and also defense, it’s about winning. I think Steph might be the best player ever if you throw him on a random team and run his system, compared to throwing lebron on that same random team or Jordan on that same rabdom team. Whther they are individually better on D or not, I think Steph might have a chance to beat anyone in that scenario ? Am I crazy?
