@Rhovaniell5 жыл бұрын
He is seriously overlooked in the MVP and maybe even in the GOAT conversation (although the rest of his carrier will determine that). Only very few if any players changed the game like him. He revolutionized the way the game is played. His ball handling is among the best of the league and during some seasons might have been the best. Best overall shooter. Can create for himself and others. His touch is unreal. Just look at the crazy layups high of the glass in traffic. He can shoot from anywhere. The "bad shot" category just does not really exist for him. The only thing that keeps him from really being named in the same sentence as Jordan is his numbers. Although you could argue that he could easily average 35+ points per game if he was more selfish. Saying he needed Durant and others is only partially true. You could also make the argument, that he makes it easier for the other all-stars like Klay, but the way he creates for himself and draws in 2+ defenders every position does not really need the benefit from having the other all-stars. Even though it doens't really hurt either.
@chasebrostek29505 жыл бұрын
Curry is barely top 20 of all time, saying he’s in the goat conversation is overstepping a bit. When it comes to value, skill, and impact on the game? Sure, you can make an argument for Steph being top 10 all time. But you have to take into account the team he has around him and the level of skill his opponents have and realize a lot of his accolades come from him having those things. 2015: Curry wins championship against Cavs with no Kyrie or Love and it still took him 6 games 2016: Curry went cold at the worst possible time, choked 3-1 blah blah blah we all know this is his worst moment 2017: Curry plays well in Finals but I mean he had KD so 2018: Again KD takes the spotlight and contrary to the causal opinion he deserved Finals MVP as well Curry is 3-1 in the Finals but his only finals he’s played where the teams were even he lost. He will likely pick up his 4th ring this season with 5 all stars now. Obviously, Curry has been the best player on just two of these teams. He’s been the most valuable on all 5. Curry will always have to be looked at as a player who could never win a championship on an even playing field as the best player on his team (with ease that is, KD and Curry are prolly Tied now) and that will prevent him from ever being considered the GOAT. I do think he’ll finish around 6-10, but putting him in the GOAT conversation right now is just ridiculous.
@kaseydaqueen5 жыл бұрын
I get the point you're making, GOAT, is a bit much right now. In a more narrow sense, it's possible. But, I fail to see why playing with all-stars is a problem? I'm not that big of a basketball fan, but how is a team supposed to win it all without another good player to help the star? I'm not sure if that ever happened before. That was not the case with MJ, Kobe, not Lebron, so why is that bad for Steph if that is what you mean? I like this run that the Warriors are on because most of the key pieces were drafted and developed into great players. Also, 2016 was not an even playing field health wise. It's was the opposite of 2015.
@abramvargas31185 жыл бұрын
@@kaseydaqueen the all-star argument against Steph highlights that KD who is the 2nd best player in the league, makes it a lot easier for the rest of his team including Steph Curry to operate. The GOATS had all-star company,yes, but the fact that a player like Steph shares the stage with another top 10 player of all time in KD is much more magnified to that of MJ/Pippen as MJ produced as the main scorer whilst Curry and KD are sharing more evenly. Same with Bron/Wade where it was obv who was the better one, as well as Kobe/Shaq. TLDR; KD is much more of a factor as a supporting all-star to Curry than other GOATS 'sidekicks

The thing about his shot is it's so demoralizing to the opposition. When he's making 35 footers like layups, his opponent is already mentally defeated.

He’s got his protege coaching him! I think people have forgotten Steve Kerr!!!! Undoubtedly one of the best sockeye shooters in the league!!! Love watching Curry and those clutches ☝🏾

No wonder Andre aigoudalo said in an interview that he prefer to teach his son to shoot like Klay Thompson rather than shoot like Curry, man! Who could shoot like him? With all that deep three’s with those degree of difficulty of his shooting, his the only one, maybe his son in the future!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😇😇😇

ricaraq vosap Klay’s form looks like the perfected form that every shooter should do. Curry looks individualized for only himself and is very very hard to replicate.

Curry is just one of the players that really humble but a Savage to he makes his opponents disappointed in those last minute shots especially and their fans to when they think he gonna miss! That oracle arena already knows when to get hyped up and I'm not even a gsw fan
