Actually I dont think that Achilles tear really ended Kobe's elite game. For the first two months in that season, he was the leading scorer in the NBA at 28ppg if my memory serves me well. But what ended was when he injured his rotator cuff and he injured his knee

Obviously there's an age difference, as their on different sides of their prime, but you have to factor in that Steph has a great team playing along side him, while Kobe has a team lacking confidence, and grit. So Kobe usually makes offensive plays for himself because no one else will, which'll change your game. Just need to enjoy both of their abilities, while they're playing.
