I just check Stephen's exposed effect. There is a very good chance that it doesn't work the way you think it works. It is listed as a 'bewitched" effect (ie exposed effect). But, it is only for you (the single Stephen, not for other stephens). IE: The way stephen's bewitched effect is listed, it says "the target took XXX damage from bewitched effect". And then it says Stephen healed XXX amount. This listing is only for your own Stephen doing additional damage to the target, and healing from that. [similarly, For years, people thought Takeda caused the target to take on more damage. But, It was the same thing Takeda's effect only works for takeda. ] I promise you that if you tested the healing by using multiple Stephens, you will not get more healing than just with one Stephen. It is a quirky way Lilith composes their skill descriptions. I don't blame you for having believed otherwise.

Amazing results! For me, the best thing about these tests is that, whatever combination you do, they work! Even if one gets slightly better trades, the other survives a bit longer, the other is faster, or brings utility, slows, debuffs, etc. The differences shown on the tests will be circumstantialities in the real fights. A few lucky procs here and there, a well timed slow and hitting lower level targets, all can interfere more in the battle results than the difference in kp on a lab test. All siege commanders are great! I got Steve to 5553 and am on my way to max him before my next kvk. John I unlocked last MGE and I will swap to him 🥰

yes absolutely but for me, all ranged combat meta should spin around commanders with rage engines It can be Babur, Margareth, the Skill talent tree, or John's second skill in the real battle scenario, there is so so so many battles that lasts 7-8 turns that your ability to finish the skill cycle at 8-9 turns is vital for good results

Thanks so much! Right now I am leaning to run; Margaret/Cordoba, Gaja/Barbur, John/Stephen with 2-3 field marches. I will run Narses/Catherine in certain extreme situations. Honestly, I figured that the John/Stephen was going to be a cut just below, but I'm still very pleased with the results! Am I missing anything guys? Thx again! Happy New Year to everyone. 😁

I play on iPhone/ iPad. I always get cooked in large balls. After going siege I have a new joy for the game. I’m getting way more kills and there is a lot of fun tactical play. They have to deal with my tower and I can hide my other marches in cities and swarm when they come for my siege.

yep. I just tested multiple Stephens. I finally was able to unlock Stephen, on most of my farms. So, w/ all my accounts, I kept on hitting the same target. Result: absolutely NONE of the Stephens received extra healing. That language in Stephen's active skill is very misleading. In reality, you only heal from the exposed effect that you yourself cause. No other 'exposed (or bewitched)' effect does healing to anyone else. Poo poo on Lilith for making such dumb misleading skill descriptions. similarly, it has been 7 years and they've not fixed the language on Takeda, who has the same exact issue. So, there is no chance lilith will fix Stephen's poor language, ever.

This means we need to spread the healing in all towers. Margaret babur will perform the worst. Rest will shine.

i have waited for your full tested video.. realy thx. At now im playing marg+cord and gaja+barbur canion/field. At now i have 2x legend sets eq and 1x purple set eq. Want to use 2x siege in canion and 3x siege on field. What combination would you use? Canion: Gaja+Barb(tank solo) and cordoba+steph? field: Marg+cord (gold eq), john+steph (gold eq), gaja+barb (purple set)? From your excel gaja+babr is better than John+steph... when i see John stats, it not make me decision to do him, and thinking to play only marg+cord and Steph+barbur. How are you planing to pair them for canion and field?

Bro let me ask you this I now have John 5411 and I will max Stephen, so it means I will have Margareth and Stephen as 5511, and all other engineering maxed The plan is to check the viability of playing (just for fun, maybe not as optimal as having 3 towers) with 5 towers but instead of making the 4th one as Caterine + Narses, I would separate then to pull in JC + Honda to the play (Caterine +JC and Narses + Honda). but for this, I would have to max Honda using the commander swap event or do you think I should max John with the commander swap? Because I am really unsatisfied with him, to be very honest Or should I simply max Margareth and that's it? So the final lineup would be Babur+Gaja Marg+Cordoba Stephen+John Caterine+JC Narses+Honda wdyt? only the last tower would have gathering equipment, the 3rd and 4th could have a full set of purple engineering gear edit: have you ever done any tests with Honda to check if he is better than JC?

@KarloDanial 1: you think John Stephen don't don't do normal damage? You are getting buffs for sure. And most people don't have full legendary inscriptions on their siege march anyways. 2: sure it's basically off cool down because you deal so many instances of skill DMG

tbh i dont think the new comanders are any usefull for players that start on the path of siege you are better of with a 5111 Margret and then max Cordoba after that you go for Narses + Babur while getting Gajah on track to replace Narses its only then when you start thinking about Stephen because Gajah, Babur and Cordoba are more important to max idk when stephen will get better then a 5111 Margret but i dont see it outside of Stephen maxed (and you have to stay in combat to get the most value out of Stephen but if the ball moves its all gone while Margrets 3rd & 4th skill always have some value for your ball fights) my picks for the marches are still Margret + Cordoba, Babur + Gajah and John + Stephen if you have the gear, the armaments and the units for 3 marches

I did not see you modify the talent for pairing. It is very important for Mag & John to match the talent with the skill commander or the heavy attack commander talent point.

Speed in collecting kill points may be Babur cordoba but you’ll have to refresh more often, best all rounder is Gajah cordoba

I would just point out one thing. A lot of current commanders have “skill damage reductions” so even with 40% extra damage, John will be weaker than Cordoba. That being said, since most new commanders coming out are now receiving “normal damage reductions” to counter smite damage, we may see John do better in the next few generations of field fights.

A lot of those skill damage reduction commanders don't affect ranged skill damage, it's a different damage type which you can see in game when you click on them. Same with the normal damage reduction, ranged normal is a different damage type again. The only ones that affect them are the "of all types".

Skill damaged mitigation doesn’t work against ranged skill damage as it’s different, except the ones in the skill tree
