@hotrock3887 ай бұрын
Kishane is a big man, with a massive upper body. This may be one of the contributing factors to his shin injures, and injury prone tendency. Coach Francis alluded to him sometimes having weight problems. If he could slim down by 15 to 20 pounds, this would translate to much less stress on his legs, and perhaps becoming less injury prone. I think that if he could really commit to this, along with a dietitian, next year he could be a World champion.

Masterful interview. Makes Riley look like the amateur he really is
@hotrock3887 ай бұрын
Coach Francis has demonstrated, over the past 2 decades, that the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Think about that for a moment. If MVP did not exist, there is a very good chance that we may have gotten many less medals, and we would not have heard about many of the stars that are household names today. Remember, prior to Asafa Powell breaking out in the early 2000's, Jamaican stars mostly came out of the brutal American College system. The tough ones made it, DQ, Merline Ottey, VCB to name a few, but the majority do not go on to senior success. Just look at the record of our highschool stars that have gone through the system and had no serious success as seniors. What many dont understand is that elite runners are not normal human beings, they are eceptional human beings. As such, they cannot be treated like a high schooler, or cllege athlete. They are like Formula 1 racing cars, the absolute best and fastest there are. Hence, th advice of the people like Coaches Francis and Mills, who have had by far the majority of medals, and world records for Jamaica, should be listened to, and action taken based on this advise. Anything else is madness!
@razzalee3057 ай бұрын
If mvp never existed the 130 medals their athletes won would not exist, jamaica would not exist in track and field dominance. Usain bolt would not exist because puma would not believe in him or a country with little success and he would not be sponsored with condition. Finally all the shoe companies in the world would not be here investing in the coaches and their programmes wanting control of the champions out of jamaica. I HEREBY ON BEHALF OF JAMAICAN TRACK AND FIELD FANS NOMINATE STEVEN FRANCIS FOR AN AWARD TO BE NAMED HIGHER THAN OD. Congratulations Mr Francis. Jamaican track fans have fun and enjoy your day.
