Stephen Jay Gould - Short Documentary

“ In memoriam our beloved friend - Stephen Jay Gould “ is a short movie displayed during the seventeenth annual Board of trustees meeting held in April 2016.
Professor Stephen Jay Gould was an American paleontologist, evolutionary biologist, and historian of science born September 10 1941.
Stephen Jay Gould agreed to join the founding Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria, and attended the first meeting. but by his very presence on the Board he raised the global confidence level of the world in the reborn institution.
He passed away on May 20th 2002, Science and humanistic values have lost a great champion and the BA and its board have lost a great friend. His legacy will always remain a source of inspiration to us all.

Except Gould did not invent/discover punctuated equilibrium, his mentor Ernst Mayr did, under different name. Gould has merely given the theory a different, sexier name, went through some fossils to verify it (actually he misrepresented fossil record) and promoted himself with it.
