Just finished reading this. Seeing all of these Easter eggs he puts in these books, I have to give the man credit for holding his own multiverse together so well. He probably has a nice “conspiracy theory” board in his basement with characters and references all over the place. Love it.

I just finished reading the book 1922 and absolutely loved it, though I’d like to know your thoughts on it, think you can review it?

I know that you had this as an option in a fan voted book review, but would you consider reading and reviewing Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman? I am currently reading it and wanted to hear your thoughts on the book.

Didn't SK write the gunslinger (the first part of the Fantasy and Science Fiction Serial) years before any of these books, and wasn't Tak just an onomatopoeia for the sound of Zoltan pecking at the rafters of Brown's hut?
@FrostyKnives4 жыл бұрын
Yes and I'm not sure if that's the case.
@dgeps79694 жыл бұрын
@@FrostyKnives I wonder to what extent the SK multiverse coalesced organically and how much was intentionally patched together once he saw the pieces coming together. Tak feels like a retcon to me- he could have called this entity whatever he wanted to. But in the Gunslinger Zoltan ominously pecks at Brown's hut while Roland retells the story of Tull, ie "Tak-Tak-Tak." Maybe he's supposed to be beckoning to Tak or referencing him in some way, but in 1978 Tak as it appears in Desperation/Regulators probably wasn't on SK's radar. Or maybe it's one big coincidence.

Enjoyed the review. What did u think of the movie they made of it?
@rolandofgilead435 жыл бұрын
what he's trying to say is that both books have a set of characters and each book has that set of characters and some of them are the same as in Desperation if my memory is right i mean what is changed isn't just the situations like he said, it's their personality's as well their actions, some of them die that didn't die in Desperation and than you have one character you hated in one book but loved in the other and vice versa. so it's not just their actions but their personality's as well. i've read both books and i have both on hardback as well. i love love Desperation and the movie is good but what hurts it is the acting if they were to remake it with better acting it would really help the film. however i hate the book the Regulators it's not a nice idea though and he forgot one thing, the hardbacks of the books if put the books together are one picture. the paperbacks don't do that just the hardbacks. i have read The Regulators a couple times wanting to like it but it's just a really shitty book. with both books you can tell they are king books and he's not even trying to hide it at all. i mean both books in the way they are written are really similar compared to other books he's done. and honestly paperbacks are normally longer than the hardbacks it's not the other way around cause the print is smaller so it takes up more pages. but one book that i think has the same amount of pages is The Stand the uncut version has the i think same amount of pages as the hardback of it does i have both of that as well. Good Review maybe i'll re-re-read this again soon as i really do love this one.

....kinda like YOU whining and sniveling over people who would rather not have their reading experiences ruined by a reviewer who doesn't know how REVIEWS work or what and who they are typically directed at in the first goddamn place...?! Like who TF is typically reading reviews on a book they've ALREADY READ ON THEIR OWN?! Kind of defeats the PRIMARY purpose of the review, GENIUS! Like how pathetic is YOUR existence?! Do you usually rely on reviewers to tell you if you liked a book enough to purchase it AFTER you've already purchased the book and read it?! BAHAHAHAHA! Waaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaah! 🙄🙄🙄
