I worked at McDonald's waaaay back in the mid-80s. This grill area looks nothing like what 16 year old me slaved in. We actually made the hotcakes from liquid batter...the McMuffin eggs were cooked in this metal contraption with a small water reservoir on top that slowly released water to steam the eggs on the grill...we did grill and hold the sausage back then...I think we made the scrambled to order when the bin caller ordered up a Big Breakfast but I can't remember exactly...we had two biscuit ladies who made them fresh every morning...the bacon was shaped in little circles to fit on the biscuits better. That's about all I can remember about breakfast. For lunch, I was the reg grill master. I could pack that bin with Big Macs (and regular burgers) during any rush.

Most people think that stuff at McDonald's is just thrown in a fryer or premade and microwaved and that is it. Nowadays as much as possible is fresh, I think it is awesome!

What is in that seasoning blend you put on the steak and onions?! I noticed that makes the SEC bagel for me.

I live in Southern California and I never see the Steak and Egg Bagel on the menu here. I first had it on a work trip on the east coast and it became my favorite of the McDonalds breakfast sandwiches.
