Not sure if either of you know but there are two different types of bikes in the game. One is outside drift which functions like the karts and ATVs and inside drift which makes much tighter turns and just feels more awkward in general. In the vehicle selection there is a way to tell the difference between the two. The inside drift bikes have a more sport bike looking silhouette icon and the outside drift bike icons look more like the standard bike.

After having used inside drifting bikes for so long, I find outside drifters to be more awkward.

I played these races alongside them. I placed first but Diddy Kong was seem to have been my rival the entire race 😅 My score was 2nd, 1st, 1st, 2nd. Funny enough Lemmy and Diddy Kong both placed for second at 47 points and I totalled 54
