Really happy that they managed to complete the negotiations for all these returning characters. They’re really making this season contrast with the previous one

Muscovy ducks are just. EVERYWHERE. down here in South Florida. They're much politer neighbors than geese, and less inclined to poop on the sidewalk.

Thank you so much, Stephen. The NC State Fair was my favorite thing to go to with my dad and since I moved away, I've missed it terribly. The state fair in my neck of the woods is too far to travel to and from so I've been without a state fair experience for about three years now. Watching your vlog today brought back a lot of memories of attending the fair each year. I will say this; if you go next year, PLEASE try the chairlift they have. You can get some great views of the fairgrounds up there.

I tried to get other people to ride the chairlift with me, but nobody wanted to, so I didn't ride it. Next Year!

As someone from the UK, I want nothing more than to go the US, go to a state fair and try all those horrific yet somehow oddly delicious looking things. That turkey leg made me incredibly hungry.

I've only gone to a small-town fair a couple of times. The most recent time I went, I had funnel cake and fried Oreos. The fried Oreos were really good but expensive, and there were only 4 or 5 of them. 6:43 At first glance, I thought the sign said $100, so my first thought was, "Oh. Well, I guess that is par for the course at the fair."

That looks like a lot of fun! I love fairs like that (we don't have state fairs in Sweden but I've been to similar things) where there's a lot of different foods and activities. I'm not a big rollercoaster person so I just... like the food and people-watching aspect of it more than anything else. 😂

I gotta give a shout-out to the Minnesota state fair for being awesome year in year out. It's consistently the biggest state fair (2nd overall barely to Texas which runs much longer, by far biggest per capita) and basically half the state makes the trip to it annually. Wouldn't be doing my duty as a Minnesotan if I didn't say it's better than the rest. Love getting my sweet Martha's, mouth trap cheese curds, and pronto pups.

My first and ONLY time going to the NC state fair was opening weekend. 😬 It may or may not have left a bad taste. But I feel like it would have been a blast if it wasn’t so people-y. Y’all looked like you had a blast! Next, y’all should drive out this way to the NC Ren. Fest. (It’s about 2 hrs from Raleigh in Huntersville.) It’s so much fun!

When I lived in New jersey, there was a very large apiary nearby to my university campus and so I would often get fresh honey for the month from this little stand that they would put up on the edge of Campus. They even did flavored honeys, like raspberry and rhubarb!

Those US state fairs look fun, we have a similar atmosphere at some fairs in the UK but I don't think they ever get that big. There's a group of escaped Muscovy ducks in Cumbria I keep seeing every time I go there, even though none of the bird books in the UK have them even among the escapee species. Despite the name they're from Mexico and the US rather than Moscow!

Is there any way to submit an entire video to Fan Favorites? This vlog was super great!!! I haven’t been to a fair in a long time, and I’d love to go to one again someday. Funnel cake is the thing to get, hands down. 👍 11:12 SAMMY!!!! EDIT: My ideal state fair meal would be a corn dog (with ketchup), nachos and cheese/cheese fries, and a funnel cake with lemonade for a drink. The fried dough also looks good. 😋

As a Canadian and British Columbian, the poutine just requires fries, gravy and cheese curds to be authentic, anything else is overkill. Also it technically comes from Quebec, maybe Montreal, so if it doesn't come from there, it's also not authentic.

I didn't even realize until I started watching this how weird it is for you to be going to a state fair in October. I'm from Ohio, and we always have our state fair in the summer since kids aren't in school, so this is weird for me. Is this a Southern thing? Are there other states that have their state fairs NOT in the summer?
